We went here for a last minute drink .it was full of very young children who obviously had fake ID and the service was absolutely dreadful. It took our bartender about 10-minutes to make two cocktails and he did that by reading an instruction leaflet. Our tequila shots came with no salt and no lemon, a real novice effort and I would not go back.

Had a fun night here last night, defo mainly a younger crowd though the back room with light up dance floor was super funDJ played a lot of classic rnb which is a fav of mine and everyone there were friendlyMaybe helps getting there at about 730pm for some drinks then a dance at about 11pm

Used to be a great night out in Islington. Bartender doesn’t know what Tanqueray is now. We left and went somewhere else.

Lovely lively bar. Only small request to hire more bar staff as only 2 people serving drinks can be problematic when it’s busy.

Love the decor it's great, it has a dancefloor but that area is rather sticky, the music could have been a bit better but the dj did change it up when requests were made. A nice place to have a non fussy evening

I was judged of lying of Wanting to go to the loo. My friend was allowed to go, and the door man with a tattoo on his head told me that I was lying of wanting to go in (lying of wanting to go to the toilet) and therefore I was not allowed. Plus he told me that I was too ugly to go in and that only pretty girls are allowed. Besides of being a gender unfriendly environment- the door staff proofed to be even more discriminating. I would not recommend this pace I you’re in an urgent need of safety.

I went here for lunch yesterday and it was great. The staff were really friendly and efficient, and it was a good atmosphere. We had a Sunday roast and we all agreed it was one of the best we've had. Loads of it, but really, really tasty and done with a lot of love. Organic meat, delicious crispy roasties ...not sure what they'd done with the veg but it was yummy and not just boiled carrots and broccoli like in most pubs! Way better than a usual pub roast. Really good and really good value. Recommend.

We went during the day during a quiet period, but loved this place. It's decor is classy, atmospheric and full of character. The staff are friendly, the drinks are good and the price isn't too bad. The music and board games are a nice touch, but they're a bit old and tattered. I really like the layout of the place, I believe it becomes a bit more of a club/bar on party nights, I look forward to giving it a try!

Good selection of gin although maybe not all the staff will be able to advise you on that subject 😉 my personal favourite was Irish Glendalough as well as Harrogate but The Botanist or House East London doesn't fall behind at all! good prices on top of that, oh and great rock music 👍👍
