A super little backstreet pub, just south of the river. Super staff and super service. Just along the road from the old Royal Doulton Offices adorned with very fancy brickwork. A great place to drink

Great local pub, relaxed atmosphere, darts and pool available, background music was varied and not to loud, really enjoyed a few Guinness there on a Tues night.

Proper pub, great beers (freehold so you have variety) amazing pizzas. If you want to know what an English pub is meant to be, head to the windmill. Also do a great lunch pint and pizza for £12.

I came there with my 9 month old as needed to feed him and was the only place open. Great staff especially the lady in the kitchen who made us feel so welcome. Also try the pizza/pint deal for £12 cant go wrong!

Visited this pub as we'd been to the war museumLovely pub but the food was not greatHomemade pizza okay but the fish and chips were awful. Frozen fish and overcooked and not even proper chips at nearly £10. Was going to ask for a refund. Myself and grandson left most of our meal. £5 for a portion of cheesy chips, could of gone to macdonald's 😡😡

The last time I visited they had added pizzas to their menu, great taste and brilliant value. I always get a warm welcome. Even though the pub is tucked away it is a little gem it's lovely to be able to visit a traditional pub which has a great selection of beers as well as spirits at reasonable prices which as a pensioner is an important factor

On a weekend away from Cambridge, This was the last pub we visited last March, just a few days before the dreaded lockdown. It is a lovely cozy pub with great food. The scotch egg was amazing. A great place and definitely returning when we back to normal.

Pub environment nice enough, sadly I was very disappointed with the delay getting food - over 35 mins From ordering in a reasonably quite pub (and 30 minutes after the people who ordered directly in front of me got their food). Excuse - the kitchen is the size of a postage stamp and only one person working in it. Sorry, not sorry don’t offer a service without the appropriate resource. Asked to replace the garlic bread with a side salad (still expecting to get coleslaw) side salad was lettuce - not crisp - and small chunks of tomato drizzled in some dressing. Again didn’t quite meet my expectation. Lasagne ok. Shall not be visiting again. Such high hopes from the previous reviews - alas I left disappointed.

Me and my girlfriend visited this pub on a few occasions while we were on our first ever visit to London. We were staying just around the corner, and we spotted the advertisement board on the junction for Albert Embankment, so we decided to give The Windmill Pub a try, and we were so glad we did.The young lady (don't know her name) was so friendly, and is a credit to the pub. Couple of occasions the pub was busy, but despite this we got our food very quickly. The quality and the amount of food, was excellent. Good pub grub at a good price (compared to other food places in London).I'm so glad we found The Windmill Pub, as it saved us a fortune, compared to eating at our hotel, and was literally a stones throw from our hotel to.We are planning on visiting London again this year (as we thoroughly enjoyed it last time) and needless to say, we will be eating out in The Windmill Pub again when we visit later in the year.To sum up:If you want good quality pub grub at a reasonable price, then this place should be on the top of your list.
