Worst Japanese restaurant ever. All the raw fish looked unfresh and we were worried that we would get food poisoning. The sashimi was not cut properly that when you took one, others came together and fell off the plate. The sushi rolls looked worse than homemade and definitely were not made by professional chef. I suspect all the high ratings are paid ratings.

Went there at 5:30 pm on a Thursday and had the place to myself for an hour. Tranquility, contemplation and delicious food. Highly recommended.

I’m shocked this place has a 4.6 rating because the food was horrible. The sushi was completely drenched in sauce and soggy as a result (we ate 10 mins after picking our food up). The amount of fish in the sushi was very little and the sauce overpowered it anyway so we could barely taste any.If you really wanna have good sushi, please do yourself a favour and search somewhere else.

Highly recommend this place! I dined in at the restaurant a year ago and recently ordered delivery. Both times the food was so fresh, flavoursome and really authentic. I had the california roll, tempura prawn roll, miso and the chicken gyozas. Already looking forward to my next Japanese fix!

Went for a Saturday night dinner for 3 at about 8pm. Not too busy and plenty of take away orders. This will from now on be my local go-to Japanese place. Good selection of nigiri, sashimi and rolls, well presented and good flavour combinations. The grilled eggplant was gorgeous, truffled beef decadent and Asahi on tap. If only the portions were bigger!

Little restaurant with great and fresh food. Just a little note ... the music didn’t help the full experience and it didn’t make this place a 5 stars.

I've been coming to Yida for several years and it rarely disappoints! For palate exhilaration, try the chicken gyoza (not pictured), the crunchy tuna (far left) or salmon, the sashimi salad (middle white oval plate) or the dragon roll (middle dark rectangular plate), you won't be disappointed!

What to say...... is cool, understated and the food is great, insane, love it ! Music and vibe can be improved but maybe jut belong to it!

Great food, sushi was very fresh, choice for main were limited but the one that were there were great. Only criticism was that is was a very hot day and there was no fans or Aircon. it was cooler to sit outside.

Good location with parking right outside on the weekends. Service was excellent and food is reasonably priced. Presentation of the sushi was ok, but the portion sizes are slightly smaller than other sushi places. Disappointed that the prawn tempura roll didn't come out with freshly fried prawn. I think the sushi rice was also slightly too moist.
