Zing Zing - Highbury & Islington in Islington

Ordered tofu in black bean sauce, Korean hot wings, spring rolls and katsu fries. Tofu was great, Korean hot wings were AWFUL - described as “crisp” on the menu so I assumed they were fried. They weren’t, they were slimy. The “katsu fries” were basically cold oven chips with curry sauce. The spring rolls were also cold, and bad. I usually don’t post bad reviews because I know times are tough and people are trying their best but the sheer price of this compelled me to. I paid over £30 and could barely eat any of it. FEWMIN!!

It’s my local takeaway Chinese restaurant. Decent food, however, prices went to the roof (not the pandemic though, it was getting more and more expensive prior to that)

Been ordering from these guys for a while now for all our team events, even helped us out at Xmas time for our virtual party. Always have had great dishes and great service. Try the firecracker cauliflower!

I’ve previously had good meals from Zing Zing but the recent meal I had was awful. Cheap greasy cold overpriced food that could be bought for a fraction of the price they are charging. Paid £6.50 for extra wings and got 3. I could buy a fully cooked chicken for £6.50 so getting 3 wings was an insult.

These guys are top notch, cousine-wise they know what they're doing, asian staff on the wok and the white guy who's been there for ages. Had issues previously with deliveroo, choosing pickup and getting down usually leaves me going home with a smile.

I ordered via deliveroo delivery and very very disappointed!Its like they tossed mains, side dish and dessert all in black bean sauce!Initially the zing box contains enough but not if you're hungry.I decided to order separately and the price for main is same as a zing box so have to also order side like rice/noodles. Thought would be better portion too for the price.Despite the spilled food, I tried egg fried rice but it was full of salt! Like literally mouthful off salt!!!Do you not try your food before handling to customers???Also better up on sizes for mains plus change of containers used for main dishes. Cling flim don't hold sauces and is still plastic!

Super tasty and great portion size. Despite the Friday rush, when we opened the box the noodles are still hot! Also loved the chocolate spring roll and very environmental friendly packaging! Would definitely order again!

Soooo salty. I ordered Singapore Noodles. It said chicken with prawns. NO PRAWNS!!! 3 small bites of chicken. Huge portion of vermicelli. Very bad! Never again. Also ordered mushroom toast. It was toasted alright, burned, flamed. Horrible!!!!

Ordered the meals and boxes came with just rice without the main bits. When calling to let them know they made a mistake and food is missing they said there isn’t much they can do as they don’t have drivers and I can only complain through Uber eats ... after arguing with them they magically found a driver who can deliver to me 10 mins away on a bike . Terrible service . They also go under the name of “Shwang “ on Uber eats

Very impressive! We had takeaway but it was just lovely and arrived piping hot in a timely manner. The duck with pancakes is succulent and tasty - not at all dry. The chicken wings had decent kick and the calamari was really good. Very impressive. Not too oily, all crispy, a bit gooey on the stir fry dishes but still a great treat.
