Lovely Pub Popped in on the off chance the other day, great beer selection, lovely food and really friendly staff. Had a lovely time and will definitely be back soon...

Despite the place being packed outside and in the bar area, the dining room was perfect, relaxed atmosphere, superb fireplace. The food was excellent and to be honest I can’t recommend enough the chicken and ham pie just delicious. Great cocktails and wine!Thank for a perfect family dinner! Will definitely come back!

Nice friendly atmosphere! However, unbelievable waiting time in the que to order drinks. The latest it seems to be the new strategy for maximizing profits... since it happened at both of the 2 times I've been in the pub.

Having looked at the pub and menu online we were really excited to have a meal there. First impressions were good. Internally the pub is warm and welcoming. Four of us were dining and we all had a roast. Two chicken, one beef and one pork belly. The food arrived swiftly and was presented well. That's where the positives end. The plate and food were cold (apart from the jug of gravy) . We advised the waitress who did apologise and took the plates back. We were then given 4 new dishes.... But again the plates and food were cold. We told the waitress but we were against time restraints as we were watching a show so ate the cold food. I wouldn't go back and to put i

Anglesea arms is the place where the Euros in Finance species goes to prospect for mating potential… before they are able to afford a membership at Annabel’s. “It smells like finance” said a friend once. It’s not untrue. Anglesea, on a Saturday late afternoon especially, is the place to be - for meeting people, for people watching, and for having a good laugh. As soon as the clock hits 5’oclock, the various characters start to emerge: the pretty French girl wearing a fur vest, the Italian Casanova with the tweed pants and an open tab, the Swedish boy boasting a bored aristocratic air… and so on and so forth. It all feels like a nice prelude to the Folie Douce parties in Val D’Isère. The conversations are lively, people meet, chitchat, sometimes discussions amongst groups emerge, some other times people get accosted by someone who’s “been dared to interrupt them”… etc. It’s very predictable but mostly highly entertaining to watch. And makes excellent grounds for a fascinating anthropological study. A bit pretentious? Maybe. But Anglesea doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and fully embraces its persona, and the place it has in people’s hearts… and in London’s dating scene.

I find myself hesitant to venture out with the whole Covid thing. But I decided to try, the country is moving on and I haven't seen my friends in nearly two years.I looked up options in the area, this place rings out as accessible, great outdoor seating, lovely reviews. So I thought, let's try it!This place is lovely. The staff are so friendly - like beyond what I was expecting. They were happy to set up a tab, the food was super tasty (I had the fish and chips) and my friend got a glass boot bigger than his head that was filled with beer.I highly recommend this place.

A classic place to have some chill drinks on a Wednesday or Thursday evening after work. Great crowd outside and cool vibes. We ordered sweet potato fries and the burger. All excellent, including staff.

Their attempt at a roast was pathetic. Yorkshire puddings were chewy. Vegan welly not freshly made. Chicken very dry. Staff indifferent to our complaints. Rusty nail on chair ripped a hole in my partner’s jeans. Avoid.
