I went here with friends and my phone died. I plugged it in behind the bar and one of the bar staff stole the plug. When asking the manager, who was drinking at this point and had fallen over me earlier tonight, he gave a sassy and dismissive answer to my query. The people working here are thieves who do not care about customer satisfaction nor the need to take their queries seriously from their patrons. Would rate 0 stars if I could.

The service here was appalling. I am of from the area and have never been treated in such a rude manner in any pub in Notting hill. One of my friend’s phone died, so I lent him my charger, he plugged it behind the bar, when the bartender said it was fine but that he should eye it. After a few moments, he went back for his phone and the plug was missing, no phone was gone, no wire gone, just the plug. It’s a bit petty because the bar staff were angry that my friend wanted to charge my phone, so they clearly took the plug. This is theft. When we told them about it, they were super defensive and gaslighted me. Extremely rude. Not the least, true bar manager kept drinking throughout the night. He fell on my friend, he’s clearly drunk, terrible service.

Very cozy, with a fireplace and a dining room, as well as those weird Victorian frosted glass cubicles. Decent selection of Sam Smith's brewery beers and great fast service. Very busy in the market day.

Ghastly. I’m from W11 and used to come here when it was in its height of cool ( 1970’s) Came in for a quick drink yesterday and it’s a mess. I think someone’s trying to recreate some peculiar trope from the way back when. Simply awful lighting ; trying to mimic gaslight I think. So hot in the back area I almost ordered Pimms. The amazing history this place? Tipped in the wastebin and just some faded old prints of toffs riding on the walls. Thankfully the loos remain where they were or I’d have gasped in disorientation. They’ve installed snugs in the front & I duly banged my head as I tried to enter the rather grandly titled ‘boardroom’… Bored Room indeed!Come come! This place was the haunt of Jagger and every cool person on planet 70’s. Lemmy used to play the slots in what is now the ghastly Rama back bar. This place, my beloved old ‘Henekeys’ needs love and attention - Give it back it’s vibe!NB. There’s some rotten scraps of food under the table in the library snug

Twice we’ve been to this pub and twice we’ve been let down. First time we were explained that the owner has recently bought the place and was bringing it up to speed. Second time around the staff inside didn’t seem too interested in their job and we were served a very below average gin and tonic - photo attached. Such a shame as its in a fantastic location on Portobello road and could be a real winner. Probably won’t be back for a third visit

Went with friends to celebrate a marriage. The pub is a lovely place and has a nice garden. Some staff however seemed to just not want to be there (specifically the blonde lady), I was regularly ignored whilst going to the bar and a friend who’s drink tasted off was rudely addressed when the issue with the drink was brought up.Great location despite this, could be better with more lively staff.

A Samuel Smith Pub with great Organic Ale & Cder, The garden has a very large Plane Tree with Lights and the Dining area is very comfortable. A great place to visit when in Potobello Road.

·

Unfortunately rude management, closed the pub and garden without telling anyone or letting anyone finish their drinks. It's really not that hard to tell people when to finish their drinks and give people some warning. Staff were really lovely otherwise

·

Terrible experience, they only had half the menu available, three chicken pies came out cold, our three other guests were finished there dinner before the pies came out hot, weren't even nice pies after all that fuss. They did give us a bottle of wine after I complained. We did spend around 100 pound on beers and wine excluding the dinner.

Great pub with very friendly staff. The pub itself is very charming and has lots of seating places inside and they also have a lovely seating area outside. The pub serves a variety of drinks, cool cocktails and food items. The service at the pub was fast and good. The pub is located in the heart of Portobello road, and you will come across it, if you are visiting the Portobello market, as the pub is located on the main road.
