Hare&Tortoise in Kensington and Chelsea

The restaurant is not massive but there are a lot of tables, also love the decorations. About the food, it was just amazing and so delicious! We ordered w couple of dishes and all arrived very quickly. Recommend it

My first time here and easily a 10/10. Service in this branch is exceptionally good - very attentive&friendly. The food was so good i could barely move as i wanted to finish it all!! We ordered multiple plates; green beans - whatever that sauce is its amazing! Eel sushi roll which i was a bit hesitant about as i have never had eel before but it was probably the best dish of the night! California roll was great as was the prawn tempura. Our last starter was the veg gyoza and they were delicious!! For the mains we had a pad thai and yes yes it was brilliant. 8 pieces of sushi which is always a good portion & the pad thai had a good number of huge prawns. The food is very very very good. As we ordered so much i was surprised the bill came up to £74! I was expecting it to be much more. 100% recommend this place

Delightful, cosy and friendly space! A mixture of modern and traditional Japanese design, and the staff are amazing and care about what they do. The food is very good and everything is a reasonable price, so you can drop in for a snack or a full meal. Will definitely return whenever I have the chance!

Nice little restaurant....good food and friendly service!I am a regular at this little high street restaurant. It’s casual dining and good for a quick meal. My favourite and definitely would recommend is the eel sushi and soft shell crab roll. All the food on the menu is alright and at a decent price and good portions. Very friendly and quick service. Overall a pleasant place to eat pan asian dishes.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Hare and Tortoise. They have an extensive menu, each dish we ordered was delicious, and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating to any requests we had. The prices are very decent too, especially for this area. Recommended!

Loved loved loved the food! The portion was amazing as you can see from the photo. Both my friend and I had a hard time walking after our meal thanks to the big plate. I ordered roasted duck rice and it was cooked so amazingly delicious. It was crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy on the itself, definitely would recommend this dish for anyone going!I saw many customers who have ordered from their Japanese food selections as well so I believe its up to standard as well. Definitely worth a shot and definitely worth the price!

Excelent place. The food is really tasty and the price are more than correct for the quality and quantity served. Their Roast duck over rice is delicious.Highly recommended

Lovely food, staff were helpful. Unfortunately no sushi available at the time, or okonomiyaki- but ramen was nice!NHS discount given too! 20% off!
