Harrods Steakhouse in Kensington and Chelsea

Amazing steak! Got the Wagyu sirloin and it was to die for. Cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth, succulent till the last bite. Hats off Harrods.

Having been a regular at the 'original' Harrods Steak House, where we could pick our cut from the meat counter and sit around the bar I'm afraid to say that the new redevelopment now serving as 'The Grill' has dropped both standards of service and quality of food. We were so excited to return, hopeful it would be much better, sadly it's gone down hill.The service wasn't great, I had to remind the waiter twice that we had ordered drinks and would like them before the meal arrived. They came at the same time. I asked for some tooth picks, the waiter never returned and so 5 minutes later or so I asked another waiter.The food, well.... not being able to select the meat before ordering now means you get what you're given. My partner and I both agreed that the Wagyu Fillet wasn't as good as it used to be and I even had to question the cut as it was rather fatty and I left some on the plate (which I'd never usually do!)Despite the issue with drinks and slow service, the 10% charge was still added as standard. Overall, it's fair to say that we shan't be going here again unless we hear things return to how they were. You've made a big mistake here Harrods! What you had before was on a small scale of great quality. You tried to fix something in our eyes as the customer that wasn't broken!

A quick trip to London this weekend brought us to Harrods Food Hall where we sat down to a delicious steak at the Harrods Steakhouse. This is our first visit to the Harrods food court and it was a great experience! We both ordered a 200 g fillet , I had the béarnaise sauce and my wife I had mushroom sauce, both steaks cooked a perfect medium rare with sides of mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and a nice salad. We enjoyed a glass of wine with our meal which was also very nice. The whole experience was wonderful, the ambience and food were all amazing, lots of history in this place and the food hall was full of people enjoying there Sunday afternoon . The butcher was very helpful with the selection of our steak and the gentleman serving us was very friendly with great suggestions as to what we should do with our time in London, overall it was a great experience! Prices were a little bit steep but you always pay for quality!

Food didn’t taste bad, but definitely not worth £100, specially for the service that was super slow. It took 5 minutes to get eye contact with the waitress to chase our entre bread and wines that we had been waiting for 15 minutes. The burger paddy was dried.

Best steak in London. A great option to get a fantastic meal. Mac and cheese, fries and any other sides are amazing

Nice selection of cuts. However wagyu fillet I had was very tough. Sides were ok and staff were friendly. The wait was too long and combined with the price I paid, I wouldn’t say it deserves either the wait or the bill.

Deliciously, albeit classicaly prepared, meats that are customized to your tastes!

The steakhouse has supposedly temporarily moved to the grill on 4 during renovations, but that is absolutely untrue. Nothing is the same. Not the food, not the service and not the drinks. I was extremely disappointed to pay the prices that I did for mediocrity. Only Gratziano made it semi-palatable by seeing us as people and talking to us. As long as the steakhouse is here, I will never go back. They had a good thing going in the food hall and have ruined it. Don't waste your money or time.

Very nice steak but too expensive. Just paying for a Harrods experience while there are better steak restaurants for the same budget.

What a treat it was to spend some time exploring Harrods Department Store in London. While you will see all sorts of high-end fashion items for both men and women - handbags, scarves, watches, dresses, suites, shoes, perfumes and colognes, did I mention handbags - you can also take a great from your exploration to indulge in a bite to eat there as well. After taking a look around at all the options, we chose to experience The Steakhouse at Harrods.You start your experience with your choice of cuts of meat. You pick the cut and let them know how you want it cooked, order whatever sides you would like, and grab a seat at the bar top. While this sounds typical, it certainly is not. She you select the cut of meat you prefer, they cut it right in front of you for you to see. Petty cool I thought.Once seated at the bar, your facing more kitchen staff along with your servers as they prepare the rest of your meal. My strip steak was pretty darned great. It is arguably comparable to the very of steaks I've had back in the states whether at Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille, etc. It's up there... and was absolutely delicious!While the price for our 2-person lunch at The Steakhouse at Harrods was higher than we had hoped for lunch, we weren't complaining. Between the two of us we enjoyed a 6.5 oz USA prime cut, a 7 oz filet, mash with gravy, French fries, along with mac 'n cheese. Add a fee for Bernaise sauce, a Coke and a pint, along with a 12.5% service fee, and we left with a £93 bill, or about $145.Should you find yourself in London for the first time, do not hesitate to make a visit to Harrods for a bite at The Steakhouse.
