Patara in Kensington and Chelsea

I went for dinner on Saturday with my family.We sat by the bar area, our waitress was called Maya and she took excellent care of us, and recommended some delicious yellow crab curry.All the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely visit here again.

Disappointing dining experience the food is mediocre the staff are deflated to the point of rude, the decor could do with a face lift. The standard has dropped since my last visit Patara has lost its luster.

Simply wonderful. The selection of dishes available were mouth wateringly tempting.Even their standard starter platter was head and shoulders above the standard option usually on offer, including scallops and juicy steamed dumplings as part of your selection.Nice ambience, attentive and friendly staff.Definitely coming back soon as some of the menu items just looked so delicious, but unable to eat them all.One of the very best Thai Restaurants that I have been to. Almost makes up for the loss of the original Blue Elephant in Chelsea.

This restaurant appears to not need to pay money for their salt. The over-seasoning with salt is simply overpowering. The fried sea bass is OK but cooked harder than necessary - sea bass should be a very tender meat and not cooked harder than you typically do with haddock. The crab curry could have been anything curry - you would not be able to detect any sort of crab flavour. The fried mushrooms are similar - there is no difference between the different types of mushrooms because all is just crispy saltiness. The lamb shank saved the day with perfectly cooked meat, and for lamb the strong seasoning is sort of tolerable. At this price, more than disappointing.

Usually the food and service are both good but last time i ate there, i was extremely disappointed with both the service and the food. Staffs were talking amongst themselves all the times instead of paying attention to customers, which was super frustrating. We all had food poisoning after our dinner there. Im not sure if i will eat there again! At least not at the Fulham one.

The first time we went, everything was to satisfaction, the second time it felt as though it had tumbled down hill. As a veggie I do not enjoy food that is fried in the same oil as fish. Sadly, the food that arrived tasted of fish. Lucky for my it wasn’t an allergy but for some it might be, so posting to ask you to ask when you order your food about cross contamination.

Soft shell crab padthai in pic...not all that for the price. Other competitors have a better pad Thai for the price. Hosting was lovely and were well taken care of. Decent ambience.

Giving 5 stars for their coconut rice. It's kept so light yet so mysteriously flavorful ! For that taste, 1 bowl is never enough for 1 meal. Prices for other food items are a bit high considering the portion size. Nonetheless, the food there lives up to a Thai restaurant standard. Good job.

A fantastic & authentic Thai dining experience!The food was absolutely fantastic! The beauty of this food is being able to differentiate the subtle flavors and just appreciate the delicate balance.Really superb. The service was quite abrupt but certainly wouldn’t stop us going back.
