Quite disappointed. We had an office staff get-together. The menu list was already small and even most of the items in the menu were not available. We placed order for starters and main course. Later when we asked to place additional order for starters, the staff said that it will come after the main course. Very limited options for drinks. An evening was wasted. Wont recommend anyone.

Went with a group of friends to have a nice evening dinner.I've been there before and had decent food and ambience. But today's experience was terrible.Starting with the waiter who was very rude to us and selectively ignoring our table on many occasions. I can understand short staffing on a busy day, but you cannot selectively ignore a group. When the food came (hours) later, they were in smaller portions and lesser quantity than my previous visit. Taste was just average but really put us off and the whole bunch went home unhappy. Not coming again here and not recommending them to others too.

Worst service ever. 14 of us met here for dinner after work and we all had a very bad experience with the waiter. I wanted something warm/hot to drink as I had a headache after a long day, and I was refused even a glass of hot water!! The guy forced us all to take 14 main courses because we were "a large group taking up a lot of tables".After taking our order he didn't even look towards us when we were trying to catch his eye to refill our glasses. Ridiculous service that I've literally never experienced anywhere around the world.

Nice and filling food. Authentic and spicy. The waiter Abdul was kind and sweet. The environment was chill and relaxing with romantic lighting.

The first time I visited this restaurant it was lovely and the staff were very friendly but I can’t say the same for my second (and last) visit. The waiter was very rude and always in a rush and generally not very professional. He kicked us out 1 minute after we paid our bill, I didn’t even have time to put on my scarf&jacket. The food is nice and the portion sizes are decent. The service and the cleanliness of the facilities are terrible to the point where it ruins your appetite. I will not be coming back.

We had a delicious dinner with my family at Salaam Namaaste. Staff were very attentive and the food here is great! I loved the Pav Bhaji, Street food and Aloo papri chaat. We will definitely be back and tell our friend.

We were a group of 6, made a reservation one week in advance. Before we even sit down at the table, the waiter already rushed us that we need to finish our food quickly and that we better order all our food at once because he will not be at the table in an hour. We order everything as told, and the service was pathetic and minimal. We felt rushed and being poorly treated. In the end, we wanted to pay less service charge (£174 instead of £180) because there was no service at all. The waiter who was rude and providing minimal service was rude and said 3 staffs were serving us, which wasn't true, and that we should be able to pay the service charge. However, it's more a message that we were not satisfied with the service. He scoffed and said “oh my god” and justified us not paying the full amount (£6 less). After we went away, we received a notification from OpenTable saying the restaurant said we didn't attend our reservation. I guess it's their little revenge. It's a ridiculous experience.

Absolutely loved this place! Lots of vegan and gluten-free options. We had the tofu starter, followed by 4 vegetable side dishes and rice. All were perfect. Took our leftovers home and ate them for lunch the next day - still delicious!

If you weren't aware of the pedigree and prowess of the man behind the business, you might be forgiven for thinking on first impressions that Salaam Namaste, despite being located in an affluent part of London with plenty of history (including a Charles Dickons Museum a couple of roads down), was just another curry house setup to take advantage of said neighbourhood. In the end, however, we're certain that you'd walk out of here thinking otherwise. There were a number of dishes we had that certainly confirmed the reputation of the place and the talent behind the menu, Sabbir Karim.Only a chef with intimate knowledge of South Asian spices could create a biryani as good as the lamb Dumpukht we had, or succeed in achieving such balance in the strong spices that made up the intensely rich Dhaba Gosht.Although not everything had us doing cartwheels, the service here was, on the whole, efficient and attentive; and with the menu being changed every 6 months, Salaam Namaste has enough going for it to warrant a visit.Menu RecommendationDrink - Sweet LassiStarter - Jungle Style Char Grill Lamb KebabMain - Dhaba Gosht (with Nan)Dessert - Gajar Ka Halwa
