Having visited this pub the previous night we went back on a wet February evening, myself and my wife .As you can imagine it was quite empty with maybe 6 people drinking .We were greeted by an extremely rude bar tender ( baseball cap and silly earrings) to be told in a quite an aggressive tone that we couldn't sit there "the table was booked ' no sign on it " then we moved to another table to be told in a similar tone I need that table back in an hour it's reserved. We will NEVER drink in there again .Think about whom your hiring as staff Mr Champion !!!

Tasteless food, over price and after being 3 years living in UK I know pubs have this the low lights atmosphere but this place seems more of taking a nap than having a proper meal. So into this pub before, now I can't even think it's worth for even a drink

Always enjoy my time here, and anytime I’m in Notting Hill it’s either here or the Mall Tavern.Great staff, good selection of beers, food menu is cracking.. can’t beat British classics!! The whole place just has a real homely feel to it… somewhere you could easily spend a full afternoon watching the rugby and knocking back pints of Guinness and bag after bag of crisps!!A great great boozer!

We went to the pub at 8 pm and place was crowded but we found place in the corner beside the bar. We drank Perroni beer and eat sweet potato fries. The price for the value was good. 3,5 quid for bowl of fries. The staff was super friendly. I would recommend this place for friends. We will be back!

Happen to stumble on this hidden gem! There were 5 of us and managed to book on line for a Saturday teatime before we went for the train home. All the staff were friendly, helpful and made us northerners feel very welcome. They took the time to chat with us which we find quite rare in London. The food was beautiful (we had to do all 3 courses so we didn't miss out!) From what we saw we would recommend booking at the weekend like we did, we saw lots of disappointed people turned away as they were fully booked. They do welcome well behaved dogs, we saw 4 beautiful dogs while there. It is card only payment no cash like everywhere now.Thank you for lovely time. It was a perfect ending to our overnight break. Keep up your excellent customer service! We will be back next year on our annual visit.

Solid pub and a great Sunday roast. Came out quick, staff were friendly and prompt with drink order and food. Would recommend dropping in!

Great pub, loved the period fire place. Very handy as you can order from your phone or with the staff☺️ really recommend getting the bread to share as you get a nice loaf of sourdough baked and hot☺️

The definition of a hidden gem, on a busy street you can just sneak into a backyard beer garden that cancels all the city noise. My favorite pub in the area so far.

Nice enough pub and lovely staff...unfortunately the food was very basic and not as described as on the menu. Triple cooked chips were oven chips!...for the price paid this was very disappointing.

By far my favourite pub in London. The staff are so friendly and the food is amazing. Visited the champion many times for birthdays, socials etc. 100% worth a visit. The waitress Valerie is my fave.
