Booked the Orangery to find it is in the Pavilion, whilst the decor was pleasant it was nothing like the photos we had seen and expected. The Afternoon Tea was pleasant but underwhelming for the cost, finger size sandwiches and small bite cakes are the order of the day. The staff were attentive and friendly but at no time were we offered a top up of tea or asked if we would like a choice of sandwiches or have any preferences. All in all an experience done but not one I would pay for again.

Booked as a birthday treat. We had a Royal afternoon tea, which included a glass of PIMS. My friend only drinks rooibos tea which they didn’t have. Sandwiches were a little on the dry side, the fillings were fairly ordinary, egg Mayo, ham etc; four small fingers each. Two small scones each and a couple of bite size cakes. You have to pay extra if you want some extra sandwiches There was no offer of extra tea, nor were we asked if we would like anymore drinks. It was a nice atmosphere, I would have liked to have had a better view of the sunken garden as this was advertised as overlooking it, however this was dependent on what table you sat at as there are high bushes around the garden with viewpoints cut out at intervals. I think if given the option to go here or to Harrods I would go to Harrods. This was pleasant but felt very overpriced for what we had compared to other places I have taken afternoon tea.

Absolutely stunning! This was the second time I went here. The afternoon tea is exactly what you hope for in a traditional Afternoon Tea. The scones are warm like they were just baked. Would definitely recommend! The Orangery building was under renovations so they had a beautiful white tent set up on the property and it was called the Kensington Palace Pavilion.

One of the favorite places I went on my trip! I had afternoon tea after walking the gardens and it was phenomenal and truly a unique experience. All of the food was really good. It was a lot of food, though many different kinds of treats. Of course the tea and champagne were great as well! I believe I had a blue earl grey tea. All of the staff were quite friendly and helpful. I found everything from the dishes to the decor to be quite beautiful.

This place deserves every star, and every good review it gets. Waiters are a delight, the food is exquisite and so well-presented on their beautiful tableware, right in the middle of the Kensington Gardens. Nothing to say other than : try it. (The Afternoon Tea is the must-try !)

Had tea with my granddaughter, son and wife. Nice setting good service. Tea sandwiches were very good along with the pastries. A good light meal at mid afternoon. Just a few steps from the sunken gardens which are stunning. Then on to Kensington park of a tour of Kensington Palace. Take the tour of the Palace it well worth the hour plus (P.S. buy the guide book it is full of inside information) . Also if you have trouble with stairs ask one of the attendants and they will be more than glad to assist you.

I've never had better cakes and biscuits. The sweets weren't too sweet, and the tea was delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The scenery is gorgeous, and I'm sure it's better in the summer (we went in winter). However, service was a little slow for the price my girlfriend and I paid (about 100 USD). Some of the plates were taken away, so they saw that we were done. We had to start putting on our coats before we were asked if we wanted the check.

Went to Kensington Palace and the wife wanted to have lunch at a "Palace" so here we were. Honestly I was just glad I didn't have to look at any more of Princess Di's clothes...apologies to everyone that really likes to look at her clothes.Wife ordered soup which was very good. It was some sort of mushroom soup but good flavors.I had the asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and topped with a poached duck egg and a hollandaise type sauce. Almost a gluten free benedict, sort of. Quite good but small plates so doesn't really fill you up.We both ordered a dessert. She got a parfait thingy. Very rich and thick with a thin Gelatin layer on top. I went with the brownie and ice cream, can't go wrong there. I guess it was a cake of some sort, who knows, it was sweet and warm and I ate every last crumb. Not a life changing meal but we checked that box.The service is spotty, the waiter brought out two of the parfait thingies and we told him there should have only been one, he just shrugged and said it's the waitress' fault and didn't take it back. I wanted to eat it but held back as I didn't want to get charged for it. Our waitress took it back and apologized but some odd goings on there.

Beautiful selection of sandwiches and the special “royal” tea was impeccable. The pictures speak a thousand words! Lovely place to be after touring Kensington Palace.

I booked the table 2 months in advance through OpenTable app. Luckily I did it because I saw many people trying to walk in but was asked to wait for at least 45 mins. We intended to just have 2 sets of afternoon tea set but was told that we need to have at least 3 sets for table of 6. It is the only complain I would have.Other than that, it's almost perfect in every little detail - the ambience, atmosphere, teapot set, etc. I especially love the Fine Darjeeling tea, and the orange-scented and currant scones served with Cornish clotted cream, English strawberry jam. Each set of English Orangery Afternoon Tea is priced at £28.50. On top of that there is service tax as well.
