🏠 265-267 Old Brompton Rd, London SW5 9JA

"The Troubadour, est. 1954, with ceilings and walls strewn with the instrumental heirlooms of a bygone bohemia, this 50s cafe screams throw-back and is now celebrating 65 years entertaining London's finest locals and lovely travelers alike with our blend of a homey garden, outstanding restaurant, music venue with a new cutting edge sound system. With an easy smoothness, this live music haven of yesterday and today is the cornerstone of Old Brompton Road, which has refreshingly resisted the modern humdrum of high street homogeny. Comfort & conviviality ooze as you sup French and British cuisine, enjoy nightly 2 for one cocktails, nurse a golden hot chocolate or bury your face in an breakfast omelette…"

Been here on a concert. The beer was great, the sound was perfect .. but omg the place downstairs is so unfit for large groups of people. Nowhere to sit, nowhere to stand, toilet behind the scene, so that you can't get in there while the band is playing. There were only 50 tickets they say, the venue is fine for 20 then.

Great meal - the beef cheek dish was superb. Busy, fun, friendly staff and live music to follow that. Pretty hard to beat that!

·

Unique quirky restaurant and bar. They serve food with a French twist. We ordered few plates to share and a glass of wine. Pretty reasonable prices and good service. The decorations inside the restaurant are very eclectic. There are old signs hung on walls and mandolins and teapots decorating walls and ceiling. If you like some music, you should check out the club downstairs. They have live music few times a week. Book in advance if you can.

Characterful, atmospheric place with a delightfully hodge-podge, grubby decor. Club downstairs is fun too with a nice mixed crowd. Only came for a drink and a dance, next time will try the food.

I went there for lunch. What an iconic place. The service was top notch. The food was nice but average. I had gratin de macaroni au formage (tasty), sweet potato chips (too salty), and hummus dip. Overall, I would recommend the venue.

Nothing special.average food Staff friendly but not professional(order vegan dish brings not vegan) too bid service charge. Overpriced drinks. Been in better places.

I love the Troubadour, I've missed it. The food was really delicious, much better than last time I went (pre lockdown) the band were also amazing. Its a great spot, always entertaining, great place to people watch too!

Iconic Cafe-bar and music venue. Full of music history. Very eclectic and well worth a visit if you love tine venues and new artist. Drink prices are above average, even for London but none of it is big standard and it's not the sort of place you go to get drunk, so fair enough.

Well, a bit of a a gem really. Looks a bit tired on the outside, but was actually fantastic. We sat in the "secret garden" at the rear, which was lovely. The service was great, food quite tasty and the cocktails yummy, good value and selection. On top of that, a great price of 20 century pop culture history.

Really cool venue that does live music and sometimes pop-ups outside selling oysters.Went in here with a friend and we ordered some cocktails and snacks. The friendly waiter recommended Singapore sling. I ordered that and can guarantee it's AMAZING. Also followed that up with an espresso martini which was very nice. Not too sweet and overly decadent.Ordered some sweet potato fries which were nice. Warm and well cooked.Really nice visiting at least once for a good London pub experience and cocktails, especially the Singapore sling.
