Smart venue with counter seats offering unusual head-to-tail dishes using every part of the fish.

Honestly I never leave reviews but this place was such a waste of time I felt compelled to leave one. Do not go to this place. The fish was hardly better than I would order from a takeout sushi place. There was one piece of low fat tuna that was noteworthy otherwise it was nice, but very average tasting, sushi with over the top garnishes on everything seemingly to disguise the fact that the core ingredients weren’t that good. Truffle on everything etc. Very disappointed. Don’t bother. Admittedly I haven’t been to any ‘good’ ‘reputable’ sushi places in London but if it’s more expensive than this, I don’t have much interest.

As someone who has dined at some of the best restaurants in Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe etc etc), I can definitely vouch for the quality and authenticity of the food here. Both the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant were fantastic. Highly recommend and will be coming regularly.

Ordered tasting menu, good selection of dishes. Black cod is tender and tasty. However, can have better choices with overall price (although tasting menu itself is not too pricey). They charge for hot water (and even count the refills) and pickled ginger too, which I don’t think is usual for other restaurants.

Good food but definitely overpriced. They even charge hot water by glass which was a bit shocking

Yashin Ocean House appears as a typical London sushi restaurant, but the flavours have remarkable depth. With confidence, I can say that this establishment easily overshadows prestige restaurants like Nobu.‘Delicious’; ‘great’ – while these words work for day-to-day life, they barely convey any information about the food that is served. Combined with the fact that the staff will always make you feel welcomed makes this one of the greatest stops you can make in London. The most truthful description would be in the words of Michelin 'excellent cooking that is worth a detour'.

High level sushi and sashimi quality in a cozy, however not very Japanese decor. Counter seats are few and are difficult to reserve. Have the shizu leaf ice cream for dessert, it’s amazing.

We had the tasting menu for a birthday dinner. Lovely restaurant, cosy modern vibe and staff are very welcoming and attentive. Staff went extra mile to take care of us and make the birthday memorable. The tasting menu was delicious. The flavours are unique fusion like Japanese. Overall great experience!

I had lunch here with my mum (who is Japanese) and we both loved the food. The staff were welcoming, the service was quick and the lunch sets were great value. Our favourite part was dessert so we would recommend the shiso sorbet and yuzu cheesecake. We look forward to returning!

Quirky Japanese food, unusual but delicious flavour combinations - including parmesan + tomato puree topped nigiri. Some flavours was a bit overpowering if you're looking for the taste of fresh sashimi.Service was good, although staff may have been new, as couldn't provide many recommendations. Not your traditional sushi bar, but a fun place to try. On the ££££ side.

Made two visits here, both times for the £60 Sunday brunch. Definitely worth the price for some really good produce - come hungry. It's also good if you have a day off on Monday as the alcohol is free flow. There is a slight issue with consistency - first visit was absolutely spot on but the second, maybe perhaps it was a different sushi chef, the makis and rolls were poorly made and falling apart (see picture), the rice was definitely was done right that day. Some were so bad I'd compare them to Yo sushi 😂.The mains were fab and dessert was good both times. Still overall a good experience for the price, shame about the second visit.
