Agra Tandoori Restaurant in Kingston upon Thames

Food was very good, however experience was spoilt by very rushed service (in/out in 50 mins) e.g as soon as I ate my last bite all the plates were taken away and I wasn’t asked if I wanted to finish some of the other plates. Enjoyable dinner overall, but felt that they wanted us out quickly.

Fantastic, fabulous, first class traditional Indian restaurant. Have been coming here for years along with many of my friends. The food, service and hospitality is second to none. Also great value for money. Gets very, very busy Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings book to avoid disappointment. The staff know their stuff inside out and always encourage me to try new dishes, it's just simply a wonderful evening out.

Read so many reviews so decided to try this place. When We entered and before We could settle down at the table with the kids, I was asked 02 times by the waiter if I need poppadoms, no menu was provided before asking. So reluctantly I said okay thinking it might be complimentary. And I didn’t mind paying even if it wasn’t complimentary. Along with the poppadoms came chutney, pickle and yoghurt (again I wasn’t asked If I needed it) . My kids don’t eat any of that. We ordered butter chicken, lamb pathia, chicken tikka and naans. Lamb pathia was very tasty, tikka was average but the butter chicken was a yellow gravy more like a korma. The worst butter chicken we have ever had. When the bill came, I was surprised that they charged me £9 for the poppadoms, I was told that the chutney was £4.5 and £ 4.5 for the pappads. We suggested to the waiter that next time they need to ask the customers before bringing it as not everyone wants to have it but he made us feel as if it was about the money rather than the wastage of food on the table! Left from there very disappointed

Great food and lovely service. Staff are so friendly and the food is quite authentic. Background Indian music is beautiful and immersive.

Family favourite! We've been coming here for years and the food has always been good. We highly recommend the Lamb Shank Jalfrezi and the Tandoori King Prawn. But all the food is very good. We really appreciate that since the pandemic they haven't raised their prices and the food is still great quality. The service is always very good and thoughtful too. We will always rave about The Agra!
