Allegro Cafe & Restaurant in Kingston upon Thames

I visited this restaurant with a group of friends towards the end of 2021. The Manager/owner was obviously struggling due to staff shortages post lockdown, but he is an amazing man and made us feel very welcome. I have to say the food was absolutely wonderful and the best Italian food I have ever eaten and I cannot wait to visit again. Planning to take my family there very soon.

A much better English breakfast than I would have expected, very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Celebrated a birthday with delicious food for the three of us. The bill was very very reasonable & will make this restaurant my first choice from now on. Big tables that I like.Kevin.

Allegros is simply one of the best places I have ever visited. I used to live in Surbiton and would go for breakfast every Saturday morning without fail. I now live in Sunbury but still make the journey to eat at Allegros if I can. The food is great as is the owner and his family. Truly recommended.

Really tasty food! Carbonara was delicious and big portions - prawns were huge in the seafood pasta. Excellent service as well.

Don’t be fooled by positive reviews! Awful food. The risotto was over-seasoned. with the worst mussels and prawns I ever have. it got some inflated description on the menu as well. Were those really tiger prawns? The answer was obvious.

Fantastic atmosphere & lovely food. Hopefully will be able to return again sometime soon. Recommended.

Just been for lunch. My husband and i had 4 starters between us. Excellent food. Really tasty. Will definitely go back. Thoroughly recommend the food.

Very impressed with this restaurant. The service was quick and attentive with a very friendly Italian waiter.The food was of a high quality and there was a good choice of food too, I almost didn't know what to choose! Between my group, we ordered a chicken sandwich, Ceasar salad and a broccoli and mushroom pasta dish.I will definitely be visiting again to try out some of the other dishes.
