As loving sushi and sashimi, tried many sushi restaurants. Think this place is yet the best if you're looking for fresh sushi & sashimi in surrey!

I bought frozen bluefin tuna and salmon roe sashimi grade in March on their website. Surprisingly both arrived expired! I didn’t realise it until recently. I wrote a complaint email to them and ask for full refund and compensation. They replied that they have officially extended the salmon roe expired date to end of May. Out of “courtesy”, they will refund me both items. Wow, such a nice “courtesy”, selling customer extended expired sashimi products produced in 2018, without notifying customers before purchase! I haven’t heard back from them on the investigation on the expired tuna either! They definitely failed the food safety regulations!

Simply delicious sushi, hand rolls, nigiri, etc. Prompt and polite service and lots of other japanese tasty foodstuffs around the store. Will be certainly coming again.

I wish I would known about this place long time ago, I live only 10 minutes from the place and I went there after a friend of mine suggested to have a look. I got ÂŁ35 worth of sushi and Sashimi which was a lot!!! The quality was amazing and it tasted so good! There were 2 young boys at the till and they helped me with the order and recommended the freshest fish they had on the day which was very nice of them. The shops follows all COVID regulation so I feel very safe going in there! The customers before me were so rude to the boys but they were so nice to them which was very nice!Thank you Atariya Kingston for making fall in love with you! I will be visiting very soon!

Simply the best place in SW London for authentic Japanese sushi and sashimi. Have been coming here for 20 years (back in the day when it was called Miura Foods.) Excellent quality fish. Great staff. Open through the majority of our COVID lockdown providing the people of Kingston with delicious Japanese food.

Very good selection of fish for sashimi. Everything was so fresh. Scallops and butterfish / white tuna were my favourite. The chefs were very professional at cutting the fish and it was amazing to see them carefully prepare the things we ordered. They have a sushi bar as well which I presume can have freshly made sushi for takeaways upon order.

I have been ordering food in Atariya for a year and really enjoyed the food here before. But today, it really disappointed me. The eel California roll tastes so weird with dry rice. Tuna sashimi is not fresh at all. The salmon sashimi is also terrible today, which does not taste like salmon.

You could find fresh and high quality sashimi in Atariya. Main Chef is a Japanese and he handles the sashimi with the real technique.

As fresh as it comes I am a keen sashimi eater and do like to tour around the Japanese restaurants and shops looking for the best sashimi. There variety of sashimi is very good. They have salmon, yellowfin, three types of tuna(all at different fatness grades), scallops, turbot, octopus, butterfish, sea bass and more.FYI they had a sign saying they have black cod available. This is something I will buy and cook for myself next time to test. Now I only tried salmon and the fattiest grade of tuna. It’s fantastic, the quality is what sets this place apart. It’s high end restaurant grade sashimi and very understated cafe/shop. The salmon was particularly nice, I have always preferred tuna but the salmon was the cheapest and it stood out. Now the sashimi isn’t the cheapest but it worth its weight in quality. The place is a shop/cafe. It isn’t a fancy place you go dining. It’s a primarily a shop selling fresh and great Japanese produce and ingredients. It’s authentic as it comes with all the staff talking in Japanese and it has a nice and welcoming atmosphere.I will be going back to try more sashimi and I will update this post will more information and photos when I next visit.
