Wonderful small community cafe, away from the chaos of Kingston centre. Reasonable prices and great pastries, good coffee. Seating outside under awning with wind protection. Paid street parking available in nearby side streets.

Elif and Emre are the best. They work so hard and have become a real treasure in our community. A cafe like theirs deserves an amazing reputation because they understand the need to deliver quality coffee, incredible pastry, cakes and sandwiches and a friendly experience for anyone lucky enough to be in their company. My family and I are so glad they decided to set up shop here in North Kingston.

Emre and his wife are so lovely and friendly! The service is amazing and they always go over and above. They always make an effort to speak to customers and will always make sure your order is exactly what you want. They also have lovely blankets outside on the chairs, giving it an extra touch. Would highly recommend!

Exceptional Family run Patisserie & Coffee House in KingstonThis intimate family run Coffee House & Patisserie at 131 Richmond Road, Kingston Upon Thames, KT2 5BZ is off the scale, it’s so good. Patisserie Chef Elif baked for The Four Seasons Hotel for 18 years and now caters for locals and we love what she prepares fresh every day. Elif, Emre and Eray are part of our community. They know everyone, what you like to eat and how you like your coffee. Their Covid protocols and hygiene are the best we have seen in Kingston. They, like many, have been hit hard by the Covid closures but are determined to stay open during the new lockdown and tell us they will operate on a `Grab & Go` basis. The opening times are the same:- Monday closed, Tuesday - Sunday 9am-3pm. Please support them. The best way to describe them is "Going for a coffee and a snack at Cakewalk is like visiting my mother and enjoying home baked cooking and catching up on family gossip, it feels like home."

I have the great fortune of having an Estate Agency next to this amazing Patisserie and Coffee House, the owners Emre and Eliff are extraordinary people, always welcoming, polite, professional and just brilliant hosts. The coffee is without doubt the best in Kingston and always made to your personal preference by Emre. The Patisseries and Sandwiches that Eliff makes are amazingly fresh, beautifully prepared and baked and they taste heavenly. My current favourites are Scrambled Egg on toast as my Saturday treat, and pastrami and gurkin or coronation chicken beget for lunch, wow. I also love the cheese cake and pain aux raisin but there are plenty of others to choose from. They are now starting to also sell deli products, olive oil, pasta, jams and the most amazing peanut butter I have ever tasted. I just need to exercise more... so I can eat there every day! Could not love this place anymore!!! The team are so kind, friendly, passionate about what they do and hospitalitable. Always a lovely greeting- remember our order and special treats for the little ones. Fantastic coffee and delicious food plus now a wonderful array of groceries! These folks have got us through these tough past few months and always working hard to make sure we stay safe. Thank you!!

Cake Walk has been so wonderful for the local community over lockdown. We look forward to our delicious coffee on a daily basis and the family that run it are always so friendly and warm to speak to. As we are in the midst of a pandemic safety comes first and people are usually masked, buy their coffee/food then leave. It is not the job of the owners to police people on the streets - they are simply running a business. It is not against the law to speak to someone outside at a distance of 2metres briefly. Anyone who takes the time and energy to post a review suggesting different, needs to take a long, hard look at themselves...

Really nice coffee house with lovely owners! I read an earlier negative review that does not match up with my own experiences here. The staff are always happy to help dog owners by giving them dog biscuits and water, but can’t let dogs inside for obvious hygiene reasons. Cakewalk have always been super nice and friendly and their food and drinks are delicious!
