I’ve ordered from this place twice and it was fantastic but dined in yesterday and I was not wowed. The customer we service was ok but there was a long wait for us to place our orders and then for our food to come with an order being placed incorrectly. The food standard wasn’t as great either but maybe because it was busy on Fathers Day. Anyways usually the food is great so may try again when around.

Visited this restaurant on Saturday with my sister. We ordered from the lunchtime tapas menu. There was a great variety on offer. Our food was delivered very quickly, was piping hot and fresh. The host and waiters were all friendly and polite. Service was excellent. Highlights were the salt and pepper squid, pork dumplings and Phuket mussels.

If you enjoy Asian cuisine and sharp, distinctive flavours then you'll find something to enjoy at Giggling Squid. Unlike other restaurants with multiple branches, Giggling Squid maintains a high standard throughout and offers an expansive menu that places variety at your disposal. The Kingston building is charming and decorated with a pink floral centrepiece. Service was fine; as good as you expect from a student town that largely employs inexperienced students. Would recommend the mixed starter.

Went here for dinner with friends, generally the vegan food was fine but not exciting.Service was fine and food was served in a timely manner.Ambience and decor is very nice and they had some special tables with extra style.Plenty of seating room inside but as it's open planned it can get load with other guests.

Upon coming in it is such a good looking and atmospheric restaurant. Its large, got pretty decoration and tables for intimate dates and large groups. There are lots more food options when in the restaurant then compared to take away. Giggling squid had, in my opinion, a good option of appetiser, mains and cocktails to choose from. From my experience here it was not not great and there were some issues such as long wait to get our order taken. Unfortunately the night we were there they were understaffed which I'm keeping in mind. I still felt as though the food was mediocre and same with the cocktails. For it being such a high bill per person I'd wish we got a little bit more out of our money. The toilets is a few flight of stairs up, and I'm not so sure but I did not see a handicap toilet on the ground floor. It might be one there, but I'm just thinking about wheelchair accessible toilet

This was my first visit to any giggling squid restaurant, food was very average nothing special. Portions sizes are very small so keep that in mind. Service was brilliant, waiters were very attentive and polite even though it was busy for being Friday evening.. ambiance was good too.

The interior is beautiful and very Instagrammable. The starters were delicious and affordable but if I’m honest, the mains we ordered (Pad Thai and Tom Yum curry) tasted white-washed and Westernised.

Lovely tasting food, well presented and a friendly service. Was highly recommended by someone to come to this restaurant. Which I am very glad I did!

The Giggling squid is a great place for a nice brunch or lunch with a group of friends. The Thai version of Dishoom (the restaurant vibes) boast a selection of street food and staples from green and red curry. The main thing about Giggling squid isn't just food it's the whole experience the venue was clean, colourful and vibrant. The food was mostly for sharing i would 3 to 4 small plates to share or you can always go for the main dishes, I highly recommend the sticky rice with lamb massaman. The food was good , but portion was a tad smaller than I expected for the price. But it's an overall good experience.Overall I had a wonderful date lunch and I would recommend it. The highlight was definitely the garlic fried chicken wings and calamari.
