Joy Indian Cuisine in Kingston upon Thames

Great food and service. Not that busy, so I do worry for them a bit !

We have been regular customers at joy but today we had the worst service. The food was terrible and cold. We could not eat anything. The children struggled to eat the hard chicken and lamb. Some of our order didn’t even come. When asking for a discount we were told we would only get 10% and that we were being unrealistic to expect anymore.When asking to speak to the manager/owner we were lied to by the owner who said he wasn’t the owner, even though we had met him many times.Previously a firm favourite of ours but post covid this restaurant has gone down hil..Will not be returning.

Disappointing, Food only average, starters were tiny, my chicken was overcooked. Service was quite good though. But not good value for money

Superb as always.clean hot tasty.not your standard curry house by any stretch of the imagination....good use of fish.

Great to see Joy back on its feet after the difficulties of lockdown and beyond. Food was great and service efficient and courteous.

Friendly service, very tasty food. Plenty of space in the restaurant makes this a good location from a COVID -19 perspective.I was nervous about their poor food hygiene rating, but that was from an inspection a couple of years ago, so took a chance that things have improved.Onion Bahjis were good but not great, and my Lamb Tikka was rather dry, but in fairness very tasty. My friends all seemed to enjoy their meals.

Went last night and the food was amazing. The best sag paneer I've ever had and the lemon rice was fantastic. We've been living in Surbiton for two years and this was our first visit - we're gutted we haven't gone sooner. Now that we've found it we'll be back often!

Absolutely delicious food. Excellent customer service, staff were so friendly and attentive and gave good recommendations on spiciness of dishes (as some of my table prefer a lot of spice, others not so much!) Restaurant was a lovely atmosphere, very clean and beautifully presented tables. Also loved the chutney selection with the popadoms which is always my fave part of the meal! Will be back!!

Just had a beautiful family takeaway. First visit for us. Lemon rice with cashews absolutely delicious. We had all vegetarian dishes and everyone of the dishes had individual flavours.one of the best Indian takeaways I've had for a very long time. Also the people in there are so lovely and friendly.Top customer service. Highly recommend.

This is what I would consider a very english local indian restaurant. Food is good, portions are big and it's inexpensive. The service is good and attentive. I would encourage to book for evenings/weekends as it gets busy.
