Really nice food, the friendliest staff in surbiton. The wine list has a good mix of wines, pop in for dinner or a drink.

Avoid! Overpriced, miniscule portions of supermarket food with almost no service.I understand that there may be staff shortages due to covid, but there must not be any excuse for untrained staff who can't describe foods in menu. However we took risk and ordered the cold meat platter for £21. To our horror we were presented with 4 olives, 2 subdried tomato slices and 5 slices of wafer thin peperoni salami pieces (1/3 pack of 89p Aldi salami pack!). So a plate of food costing less than a pound and they are charging £21 for this!!!The horrible experience continued with other dishes too.... the £18 so called venison dish had literally 3 pieces of fat filled garbage. And the £15 fish pie was so filled with potato mash that we had to fish for any salmon in there - but little luck.I have been to many many good and bad restaurants, but this one is definitely bottom in my list. We threw away £150 (including 12.5% added service charge), had hardly £10 worth of food and were so hungry that had to find another place.

We had Christmas lunch there. The waiters/waitresses kept asking us to reorder drinks, about 5 times. The beef wellington used minced meat rather than a steak. Not much festive atmosphere to speak about. All that did not justify the price.

Staff were lovely and friendly and place had a lovelyatmosphere. But you could only pay by card. I ordered orange and chocolate cheesecake but it looked nothing like a cheesecake rather than a splash of cream put on plate and chocolate was a sprinkling of Coco powder on side and orange was segments on top of it!!!, so disappointing with that

Good restaurant in Tolworth worth visiting if you're in the area. Ordered Deep Fried Squid which really was fried but had no crispness to it as there was hardly any crust hanging. Portion was dainty without even an accompaniment together on the plate. Pork belly was soft accompanied with a grainy mash. The Cod was another portion controlled dish with a bean cassoulet having more tomatoes than beans. Complimentary bread came with a delicious chorizo butter but when asked for another helping, the second helping was charged what was priced on the menu which was not even accompanied with the items mentioned on the menu which was garlic lemon aioli, olive oil and aged balsamic. Triple cooked chips was soggy, sticking with each other and doesn't do justice to the dish as the name suggests. If it was made the right way, even it was made pricier that'd lure me back into the restaurant. Service was done by very young inexperienced staff who made sure we were cared for. Worth visiting as the food is good though lacks a bit of attention.

My friends and I went for the ladies night, I like the look of the restaurant, staff is very nice and it's good value on ladies night as you get unlimited wine. Food looked and tasted great but portions where very varied, I was sorry for some of my friends as they bearly had any food on the plates (3 asparagus for starter, tiny piece of fish with very little garnish and no carbs for main and tiny cheesecake) I was lucky with my choices (fishcake, pork with mashed potatoes and sticky toffee pudding) so I was full ant the end of the meal. I would recommend this place but keep in mind you may need a snak afterwards.

Went on a Friday night and the place was almost empty. When we tried to order much of what we ordered was unavailable. Dark parfait? They've run out. Tomato and mozzarella? Nope. A side of chips? Unavailable. The atmosphere was also pretty poor. It was so cold that most of the few other diners hadn't taken their coats off. Candles on the table weren't lit. The music turned off halfway through the meal, leaving us in eerie quiet. The food and drink were poor. My partner's Cosmo was horribly watered, though the one waitress did admit that she had never made on before. The veg on my confit duck leg was like warm and watery, while the duck was dry and reheated. My partners beef was so salty she couldn't eat it and we had to send it back. When they bought the bill they said they had taken the cost of the last round of drinks (£12) off the menu to compensate that we didn't like or eat the (£18) beef.Overall a very poor experience, awful food and we had to get something else to eat in the way home. One starter, one basket of bread, two mains and four drinks was £65 after the beef was taken off.Won't visit again.

We had a great experience, food was good, staff were very friendly and helpful and we felt at home when we heard the owner was a fellow South African. Keep it up guys!

I have lived in the area my whole life but I have only just visited this restaurant! I ordered the sweet potato and chickpea masala for my main which was lovely. It had just the right level of spice. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding which came highly recommend by the waitress and it was fab! The staff were very attentive and the service/arrival of food was quick.Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
