The coffee at Local Hero never disappoints me :):)

Great little cafe, good food and friendly atmosphere. I love that you have Gluten Free items on your menu. However maybe you would consider putting them on a separate plate to the other items in your display and using dedicated tongs? This would allow people with coeliac disease to be able to enjoy your gf items.

Wow, it has been a while since I have such a good cup of coffee like this! African blend of beans, perfect temperature, latte art, great service and the sun was out! I think this has now become my favourite coffee shop.

Personally love their coffee. Always go there for a flat white. Perfect size for me. I didn't like the eggs Benedict the one time I ate there but I am really fussy.... Also can't comment on the friendlyness of staff. Most of them are really nice, but I can think of one that gives me bad vibes.

Just want to say what lovely lovely people they are. I was volunteering for a hampton court half marathon. And I never got a chance to use the loo's. Been there since 5am and everything just went so quickly. Got to my marshaling post and realised once it starts I can't leave. They allowed me to use their loo with such kindness. Thank you I was so so grateful to you. I will definitely be back to buy coffee when I return!

Lovely coffee but customer service severely lacking. The lady making the coffee was nice but the young guy there - rude at least 3 times in what was a relatively short exchange. They've done the hard stuff well (coffee, interior etc) but he got the easy stuff so wrong - being polite to customers, the way to point out nicely to a customer that Amex is not taken, etcIf I was the owner of the coffee shop, I would let this guy go - otherwise you're losing custom from people like us who can make artisan coffee at home but value customer service when were out otherwise we would just have our coffee at home!BTW we visited 10am Sunday just so that the right person is at the very least given a talking to about his terrible attitude. If he is having a bad time in his life (fair enough) or he finds it hard to deal with customers then he is in the wrong job - perhaps he should find a role which is not front of house? Just a suggestion.

Amazing coffee texture and healthy eggs benedict. Super decor and friendly staff today. First time in Kingston but won’t be the last time to visit here 👊🏼 …a local hero is right

A lovely place, perfectly located near the busy centre of Kingston but in a small, quiet street. Ideal for times when you need a little break, even or especially alone. The coffees are always excellent and there is a choice of various "free from" cakes that are mostly made in the premises.Although always very busy, the staff are kind, patient, friendly and warm. The only thing that could be improved is the food menu; offering vegan sandwiches and/or simple salads would be welcomed by many of us, I am sure. Some home-made yoghurt and dairy-free pots with fruits and other toppings would be fantastic too.

Great coffee shop - good selection of sandwiches, plenty of veggie options and coffee of the highest quality. Nice decor inside too.

Spent a lovely Saturday morning having brunch at Local Hero. The cafe has a funky vibe and all the staff were very accommodating. We were able to get a table quickly and the service was very fast. I went for the sausage sandwich with red onion chutney and my friend had the buttermilk pancakes with banana, berries and maple syrup. Both were delicious! Prices were quite reasonable and I would definitely return here.
