I used to love patisserie Valerie. They used have a great choice of lovely cake slices but ever since the drama with the their fake accounts dilemma this chain just went downhill.Nowadays it’s just a shadow of its former self and the slices of cakes have shrunk by at least 30%.But the main issue is that the quality went down as well with the size it’s just not good anymore. The afternoon tea for 32.99£ is just a joke.Sorry but in my opinion Patisserie Valerie most likely to bite the dust if they don’t make improvements.

Visited this place few times for a quick bite, last time went for Afternoon tea.Plates and mugs didn't come very clean. Some parties in a set seemed old.One lady working at this cafe is very nice and lovely. Service is quite slow, possible that is due to lack of staff at this place or the fact that some of the staff members are new.

40 minutes to get a coffee and a sandwich, over-worked and under-trained staff, bland coffee and over-cooked sandwiches when they eventually turned up, over-priced, toilet flooded. Avoid.

Still a good place to have coffee and a slice if a cake, but personally I prefer what it used to be in terms of the selection and quality of cakes on offer before this whole "going bust and under new management" business i.e.what it used to be 3 years ago.

Used to be great for weekend breakfast before hitting the shops. However since Covid19 they had to cut down on the menu with no longer serving cooked breakfast and everything is pre made options. The staff is friendly as always.

they need to close this place down.Ordered some cakes on sunday and they were spoiled!Had a bite of the coffee eclair and had to spit it out,was so sour inside and made me sick, not to mention how hard it was.Was so dry and sour inside it was really old.Cant believe they sell such old cakes. Is not the Patisserie Valerie from 5 years ago.Its a food and safety hazard.

I bought a birthday cake for my sons 40th on Friday at 4pm. On Saturday when I opened the box for the family celebration, the strawberries on the cake had green moulds and the cake was stale. We were staying at a resort for the week end. So you can imagine my disappointment and embarrassment. After contacting customers service I received (in good faith) a ÂŁ15 voucher and 20% discount for a referral to a friend. What an insult ! Why would I want to purchase any more stale cakes from them or even refer a friend fooling them that the cakes sold are fresh ! They claimed they never received similar complaint before. Not even an apology for a very disappointing incident .

If I could leave zero stars I would. Absolutely appalling experience!Went in with two of my kids for a coffee and cake and was told we can only have take away as they are short of staff yet closing in 1hour!I have never experienced anything like this in my life. No apologies no nothing just blamed it on not having enough staff?!The female staff was beyond rude and unprofessional! We literally felt like we were asked to leave.I have years of customer service experience I would never dream to speak to customer in such manner.Especially in these difficult times. We will be writing to Head office about this.

When it's cold outside you want to shelter somewhere warm for a nice cup of tea.Well, it's not warm in this place. The coffee was warm, not hot. The cheesecake was nice. The waitress seems to have been annoyed but polite.

The waiter is not as polite as he suppose to be and everything what they do is so loud. Especially when they need to deal with with plates. So it becomes difficult to hear your partner. The food is good tho. The toilet is so dirty and is not checked regularly.
