Awful experience today! Booked in for a nice Mother’s Day lunch with my husband & young kids ( 6 & 7 )We had booked into the raised area at the back, but were told we were to be in the bar. They managed to squeeze us in where we originally should’ve been. It was fairly quiet at this point & we ordered both our drinks, plus starters & mains. The drinks arrived fine as did the starters after about 15 minutes. The starters were pretty bad. We had the calamari & stuffed jalapenos, which were massively overpriced. They were also utterly tasteless. Then we waited, and waited, and waited, whilst tables arrived around us, ordered & received there mains. We brought entertainment for our kids in the form of card games, but this only lasts so long. After an hours wait since the starters our poor kids were starving & restless. We asked & were told the kitchen was making our food right now. It finally arrived another 10 minutes later. It was simply 3 pizzas! How long should it take??The pizzas were pretty average at best.We expressed our annoyance to the waitress, who muttered a sorry. When we complained a second time we were told they’d knock 10% off the bill. We had wanted to treat the kids to a nice pudding, but now had no time. I told them 10% off the bill simply wasn’t acceptable. This was ignored. The manager made no attempt to talk to us. We paid up at the bar asking them to remove the service charge. No apologies. It’s safe to say we will not be returning, which is a shame as we used to like this pub.

Had a pizza here that I can only describe as a tomato puree on a cracker, was absolutely not dough. Service for drinks was very slow even though few people queuing

Currently best pub in the area by quite a bit. Good beer. Friendly and efficient staff. Generally I go there Saturday evenings when there's a relaxed atmosphere. The clientele is very different from week to week but always good natured, never problematic. Haven't had food there but I'm told its good standard,The staff turnover is quite high as is the management and so things can change here quite quickly, but currently highly recommended.

For some reason this is the only pub we hadn't been in the Surbiton/Kingston area. Was pleasantly surprised... Much much bigger than we thought it was from the outside and a big covered & heated outdoor space too. Food and drink was decent too.

What can I say. It's our local. Great blend of traditional British pub and more cosmopolitan mix of drinks and food. Always busy, always a buzz, and always locals.

Bustling pub, surprisingly spacious and has a function room. A decent range of draught beers and wines on offer and the food's pretty good too. The staff are helpful and tables are cleared quickly (I can't stand going into a place where you have to clear the table yourself after the previous occupants have departed).

Lovely staff, started with great service that was really let down by the length of time it took to deliver the food... which was let down further by a very average roast... over cooked beef, soggy roast potatoes and veg and a portion of greens that was served cold in a separate dish. Shame because initial impressions were good... a decent sized lunch. The ribs and the pizza were tasty, looked good and the kids enjoyed them... the delay was supplemented by a round of drinks. So not all bad...Next time it’ll be burger or pizza or ribs for me

The place is really nice. Food is delicious and the portion sizes are amazing. I totally recommend it and I'm making it my favourite pub.

I was very impressed with the food here. We go here fairly often for drinks, but never eaten or even seen the food. On this occasion it was a last dinner out with friends from the states. They too were very impressed with the presentation and tastynes of the food! Give them a try, there meals are great
