Wych Elm in Kingston upon Thames

Lovely fresh food. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful (although a little forgetful once!). The garden is gorgeous and they have a good selection of foods, catering for veggies and meat eaters. Loved the way the waitress brought us table water within seconds of sitting, that’s quality service which is hard to find these days. Highly recommend.

Another fantastic visit to our favourite local pub. A great range of very well kept beers. Food was tasty as always. Nice treat to have a Friday night bbq on a sunny summers evening. Staff are always so friendly and helpful. We love this pub - it’s our 4 year old daughter’s favourite too!

I shared three very tasty vegetarian plates with my daughter while my son opted for a burger. We treated ourselves to puddings too which were also delicious. Great options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike and fantastic service.

Our first time here and we will definitely be back. The food was excellent and the interior of the pub was extremely warm and welcoming. I would have given 5 stars but we did have some difficulty attracting the attention of the staff a couple of times - although when they did attend to us they were all extremely friendly and helpful. A gem in the area!

Hidden in the quiet neighbourhood, the pub is simply marvellous. Staff is so attentive and positive, that they can't make you feel more welcoming. A very enjoyable Sunday lunch with my family yesterday. The staff were really great, and the service flowed very well despite being busy (a well oiled machine as the saying goes). First ever experience of this pub, which has an excellentreputation. We had very tasty Sunday lunches, and they were reasonably priced, but they seated us right in front of a blazing fire. The fire didn't really need to be blazing as it was quite a warm day. There was no obvious ventilation either, so the conditions were perfect for spreading covid.

My daughter says it’s the best Roast in Kingston and she’s not wrong… But not only that the service was consistently excellent amongst all the staff. Just the right level of attentive with friendly smiles and lots of humour. It was my second visit and The Wych Elm did not disappoint. I’m already looking forward to my third..

We have just moved to Kingston Upon Thames and had family visiting from Yorkshire over the weekend. The Staff at the Wych Elm could not have been more accommodating, providing high chairs and attentive table service in the lovely garden area. The Sunday Roasts and children’s meals that we ordered were excellent, perfect roast beef and chicken - portions were a very good size. The delicious Yorkshire puddings even met with the approval of a discerning bunch from Leeds! Our picky 8 and 3 year old devoured their mini sausages and fish goujons with great chips. All in all, a warm welcome from extremely friendly bar staff, great food, lovely surroundings and quality ales on tap - very pleased to have found our new local. The landlord is of the old school, present and takes time to talk to the clientele and make everyone feel welcome. Well done to the Wych Elm - we are very much looking forward to returning soon.
