New owners have killed this.. disgusting food... Fish tastes terrible and is definitely not fresh.. DONT COME HERE..Tartare sauce is lumpy and tastes tangy...

Brixton cod has gone down hill! The food use to be fresh and tasty! The last couple of times we have ordered, the food was either burnt or left over (reheated)! The food IS NOT FRESH!! The chips tasted and looked old. Really disappointed as they use to be really good. I think they have changed owners. Won't be getting my food from here ever again.

Best fish and chip shop in the area. Always nice and fresh.

Yesterday I found a rusty drawing pin in my food which I had purchased to share with two toddlers.. I immediately called the shop to enquire about my discovery, the feedback that I received from them did not seem too bothered or sincere about this hazardous metal object. The man casually explained that it was being used as a lid for the vinegar (which sounds unhygienic and questionable itself)...Feeling irritated by the lack of remorse from the man, I expressed the danger of it all. Thecustomer service was poor and unacceptable therfore, I demanded a refund.I wish I could have taken it higher as my complaint seemed overlooked and it was sighed off.

They were very unprepared for the lunch rush. I ordered at 12:20, was told my food would take 10mins, had 5 people order after me and only because they caused a fuss they received all their food before myself. I waited 25mins for my order and was the last customer to leave at 12:45Never going there again. Just a waste of time.

This place is fantastic! Number one- the food is delicious, but the pricing is unbelievable. They give you a fantastic portion of chips and a lovely piece of Cod for £5.50! Number two- the calamari I also tried is better than any restaurant has given me in recent times for a fraction of the cost. This will be my new local fish and chip shop. Thank you!

Visited because of the great reviews and wasn't disappointed. Delicious chips and mozzarella sticks... the place was busy which was a good sign! I wonder if they might consider adding some more vegan items or wrapping the chips in paper to save styrofoam containers?

Myself and my familey have been a local customer for some time and each and every time we order the chips are freshly cooked alongside the rest of the order. There cod and chips is reasonabley priced and fresh as well as there clamari rings being delciouse. Have been before and will continue to support them as they are the only good local fish and chips shop in the area.

Best fish and chips this side of the river. The owner's a really lovely bloke as well. If you want to save time you can call ahead and they're more than happy to prepare it for you.

Great value - Lovely crispy fish and great chips. Called ahead and then collected. Homemade tartare sauce is lovely!
