The food is amazing and so is the staff and their hospitality. This is the second time I have come here and strongly recommends Bangalore express for Indian food. Sri was very welcoming.

Tasty South Indian cuisine. Very tasty. The quantity they serve is less for the money. Any starter dish we order, they serve only three pieces. They shall consider this. When you feel satisfied about the food, the bill would have been above £300 per person in an average.

Came here with two other friends, the service was great and food tasted decent for the price but all three of us had stomach problems as soon as we left the restaurant. All of us were feeling like we were going to be sick. I feel bad for leaving a bad review since the food was a solid 6/10 and the service was great but it can’t be a coincidence that all three of us had nausea.

Great food in a central location!Would definitely recommend Bangalore Express for its quick service, interesting food and good atmosphere. We had a prawn curry dhosa (the wrap in the below photo) and a fish curry thali. Both were delicious and different from a “traditional” British Indian curry house, so something new but definitely worth trying! Prices were decent, but not bad at all given the central London location and size of the dishes. The service was also good, with the waiter giving an overview of the dhosas available. The restaurant is located opposite Leadenhall market, so would recommend taking the tube from Bank or Monument or C2C from Fenchurch street.

It was a wonderful day out for our son seeing the Christmas lights in the West End. His highlight was the dinner we booked at Bangaloe Express. He enjoys his drink and he loves his lamb chops, chicken and fish. The whole experience for the family was great and the meal was just out of this world, even for our vegetarians. The food tasted so nice and the portions were more than enough for four. We had no room for the desert, but our Master chef suggested we must have a taste and gave us just something to share. Definitely a day to remember. We may try and go again before Christmas, if we have the chance.

If you like food from the Indian subcontinent, this is absolutely a restaurant you should visitCame on a very quiet sunday night with 3 friends and had a very good meal.We started off by sharing a portion of deliciously crispy kurkuri bhindi (spicy okra chips) and two portions of samosa chaat (Punjabi samosa with chutneys, yogurt, chickpea curry). We continued to mains sharing a very nice masala dosa (rolled up fried bread filled with spicy potato with a side of dips), an English curry house special (mixed veggies in tikka masala sauce, Bombay style potatoes chickpea curry and naan bread) and a Thali curry (vegetable kofta with a creamy dhal, raita dip, samosas,Thali vegetable kofta with dhal makani raita samosa, pilau rice and a fluffly laccha parantha). Everything was incredibly tasty and well presented, portions were good size abd the amount of bread for each main was enough for all of us to share. It's difficult to say what the best dish was, the dosa was excellent but the Thali curry was very good too. It was my first time trying okra chips so also particularly enjoyed that! The only thing that let me down was dessert - I asked for a Rosepetal, walnut and pistachio gulab jamun (icecream), but what I got served looked more like cheap strawberry, chocolate and vanilla icecream, can't really tell if it was just bad icecream or they didn't actually served the right flavours. In any case, it was underwhelming and would not recommend it.Service was corteous, a bit relaxed but we were in no rush. The waiter was kind and offered us a glass of Port wine on the house at the end of the evening. We had 660 ml bottled beers to drink and spent about £120 in total (£30 per person).I would definitely recommend this place for the quality of the food. The bathroom was also clean and tidy when I visited, which is always a plus. The restaurant entrance is in a small alley and a bit disguised by a columnade which only adds to the feeling this a hidden gem in the heart of Bank!
