I had breakfast with my sister here and the food was nice. The mushrooms were cooked very nicely. However, my lemon and ginger tea was just hot water. The lemon had not been squeezed and the ginger not grated. The seating outside was comfortable and pleasant.Overall, an OK place to eat.

Lovely small restaurant in the heart of Brixton Market. The owner and all the staff have been very sweet and also offered us some biscotti. Great espresso! ;)

Sandwich took 32 minutes to arrive to the table, salad never did. The waiter insisted on brit-xplaining to am Italian lady that cappuccino always comes with chocolate on top, therefore it is appropriate for this Italian bistrot to put it on without asking. The food was okay. We got the biscotti depicted as an apology 🤣

Never one to write bad reviews but such a disappointment of a cafe. Looks cute from the outside but the waitress was clueless, service was jumbled, food was misleading on the menu and came out bland...let me not even get started about the coffee. a simple latte looked more like a failed attempt at a cappuccino. Definately better places to go to in Brixton Village.:(

I think some of the reviews are a bit unfair re the service, yes this place has a kind of Mediterranean pace to it which we actually found quite nice - I guess it depends what you’re looking for. It is a bit slow, but you get the feeling they make the food with love - the squid ink risotto was up there with the best Italian food I’ve tried in London. The wine was really nice too. If you’re looking for snappy assembly-line service you’d be better off with pizza express but I know where I’d rather eat! I was pleasantly surprised and I think a lot of people don’t seem to understand the obvious constraints of running a restaurant out of a tiny cafe in a market - these type of businesses make London a better place :-)

Waited almost an hour, service very slow. The food was very bad, we ordered a Breakfast Sibilla where the eggs were burned at the bottom and raw on the top, pancetta was tiny slice burned. The other dish ordered was a Royal (poached eggs, holland sauce and smoked salmon) ,the holland sauce was horrible.Considering the menu I was expecting the food to be much better.Overpriced for bad food, small portion(I was expecting at least a slightly bigger sausage and at least 2 slices of pancetta) and slow service.

3 of us dined here on a Friday night, and in contrast to some other reviews we found the service to be perfectly paced - friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, and came to the table appropriately staggered so that we were able to enjoy each plate hot and at a leisurely pace.We ordered a bottle of Primativo which was corked but was switched for us immediately and without fuss (and was excellent). Particular highlights were the spinach and ricotta lasagna, which was rich and well-seasoned with the perfect texture, and the most meltingly soft and creamy burrata I've ever had outside Apulia. The price was also reasonable for 3 dishes each and a bottle of wine to share, at less than £30 a head. I only regret we had no room for dessert, as I've previously very much enjoyed the chocolate cake from the Sibilla cafe. Absolute winner for a evening's meal and catch-up with old friends!

Took 20 minutes to get wine and bread to start. Wine was served in a dirty carafe (see picture) and bread was stale. Food very mediocre and as a result terribly overpriced. Service was slow and rude - strongly suggested we got 6 x £8 tapas EACH and told us kitchen wouldn't serve us any more food if we didn't order it now. Strongly don't recommend- anywhere else in Brixton Village is better!

Went yesterday (31/03/17) for brunch.Chaos, very badly run café. Food (all four plates) arrived cold after a 30 minute wait. Coffee was burnt. When we told the waitress, no apology, just serious attitude. Cash only business with no clear warning and overpriced. The sign saying "cash only" of situated behind a plant, not visible and is in the bottom corner of the menu, not a very visible location. They then had no change for us. That was the tipping point. When we complained all we got was a small discount and excuses about staff off sick and the manager going AWOL. We could see that other customers were having issues also.Simply not good enough for what is overpriced. To be avoided.

Terrible service. Waited best part of an hour for our fairly simple brunch dishes and the fourth dish arrived 10mins after the others. The poached eggs were over - cooked, the avocado under - ripe and the bruschetta soggy. Mushrooms and risotto was tasty but possibly not worth the wait...
