Craft Kitchen in Lambeth

Unfortunately not worth the hype. Ten of us came here for brunch last Sunday and all aspects of the experience were not positive. The service was slow - over one 1 hour to get a few simple meals that were drastically undersized. The "stake of pancakes" only consist of two small pikelets. The only satisfactory item for brunch was the full English, however that was pushing the £10 mark, which is a little crazy seeing as there is better value close by. Would go for a coffee and I have heard the dinner is good, however none of us will be going back to experience it.

A place that's not quite sure what it wants to be. Excellent range of German beers, yet the menus is eclectic. A long range of burgers - fair enough, suits the beer theme - alongside some more 'gourmet' options that aren't quite up to scratch. Be better as a beer and burger bar, especially as Abberville Road provides some of the higher-end options already.

Style over substance and it really isn't all that stylish. Service is dire, it took 20 minutes to get a cup of tea here Sunday brunch time. The restaurant was not full, the whole of 2 waitresses couldn't manage and we had to ask for absolutely everything. Will not be returning would recommend others not to go here.

Great food, good service & atmosphere

Wandered down Abbeville Road on a Sunday evening (when most other places had stopped serving) and took a chance at Newtons. We weren't disappointed. The service was very pleasant and the food was very good for the price. We also got a 15% discount card on the next meal there.. nice touch. Would definitely go back.

Unfortunately an awful experience, attended with a group of 9 after a Sunday run for brunch. Food was poor quality, largely inedible and very slow and freezing cold when arrived after long wait and had to be sent back numerous times. Tea was served in water glasses so assume was just too busy. On plus, staff were pleasant and tried best to sort out problems One of those things but won't be heading back

Stopped in for a bottle of wine before pizza express. Great place and really enjoyed it being quiet for that night. Friendly staff said it was just a quiet January night. Cannot wait to see it in the summer. Well worth a visit and food looks great.
