Duke Thai in Lambeth

Really close to the Old Vic theatre, my granddaughter wanted to try the food here after having experimented with Rosa's cookery book recipes. This branch of Rosa's hasn't been open long, so we were curious. She was glad to compare and found her cooking to be exactly the same as the veggie meal on her plate. We were impressed by the friendliness of staff, the deliciousness of our meals, and the cost. It's fairly small inside, but we arrived just before it got busy.

Manages to get a table without reservation but got full by 7:30(Friday). The service was very fast and the food tasted amazing. Prices were reasonable, drinks were a bit pricey. Would go again. I was full up with the curry and rice

Rosas's Café has been at this location for years and now it has been transformed from a traditional English to a Thai caf' that serves a delicious traditional Thai menu. We arrived one early Wednesday evening and the place was buzzing. Our red curries were beautiful and the service was great too. Due to its location, the great value for money food and service this one is now in our top 'hidden gems' places to eat when on a London visit.

First time visiting, but it will not be the last time.Staff were very friendly and helpful re suggestions for meals on the menu to try.Nice atmosphere too.In summary, a lovely venue with friendly and helpful staff.

Fast service, friendly staff, very tasty food.I would highly recommend the calamari and Pad Thai.A compact restaurant, comfortable seating.If you want to sit down here, you will need to book in advance as it was packed when we got there - 7 pm - with only our booked seat left! A good sign. They also deliver, so there's that option too.We will very likely be returning to either this branch or another one!

Service wasn't great, no hello welcome just sit there......Tom yum soup was great and spring rolls. Then waited an hour for a very poor red curry and panang curry. Full of cream no spice only one waitress who when I asked them to remove the £7.50 service charge became very stroppy and your Thai girl, didn't even give me a receipt till I asked. Over all I wouldn't bother. Much better Rosa's in Soho.

We are luckily enough to have a Rosa’s just around the corner from the flat and it’s a great little go to for midweek dinner or a good kick of fresh and spicy food.Always good quality food, service is always quick and attentive.. and hey this brand are successful for a reason - they do what they do very well.I’ve been to a few though, and this is my fave.. just feels more friendly and homely!

I visited just after rush-hour on a Friday evening and the restaurant wasn’t as busy as expected. I was greeted by an enthusiastic staff member who asked me to check-in (track and trace) and was then led to a table of my choice (at the rear by the kitchen). I was given a glass of water and the waiter allowed me time to read both the “main” and “summer menus”. After a few minutes a second waiter took my order - fresh summer rolls and Pad Thai (vegan style). The summer rolls arrived within 2 minutes (suprisingly fast!) and were filling. The Pad Thai, however, was disappointing as the noodles were greasy and the veggies (carrots and broccoli) were undercooked/hard. Overall the quality of service and food was average so I may visit again and try another dish to see if there are any improvements.
