Edo in Lambeth

Do not ever go here! Terrible owner and even worst food!!! Stay clear of this place and hope they run out of business and something decent opens.

The food is in this place is average, at best. From the dishes we ordered the seafood ramen and gyoza were just about 'okay' but the tempura (or that's what it was supposed to be) was terrible. The only decent item was the green tea, that pretty much sums up the quality of this restaurant.

Great food! Staff is lovely. Have been here twice and really like it. They did forget one of our dishes this time but were very apologetic about it and rushed as soon as we mentioned it.

My absolute favourite.The sushi are delicious and reasonably priced. And the staff is the friendliest.I order from them all the time!

We went for my sons birthday. Which he chose. There were so many options on the menu that I wanted to try but I chose the seafood deluxe which was absolutely delectable, my mother bought a duck in plum sauce bento box, my daughter noodles and my son a soup dish.We were all smiling from ear to ear. The service was excellent, so polite and helpful. Our server had a great sense of humour and made us feel so comfortable. We loved it so much that it was unanimous decision to add Edo to our favourite places to eat. Have been singing there praises to ANYONE who will listen.

Enjoyed the décor and the Japanese style seating. Food is OK for the price point. However, the sashimi was stored at the counter without ice, and we were served a mixture of fresh and not fresh sashimi together. Salmon was dry and tuna was not fresh and the mackerel contained a rather large bone (as well as two smaller ones). When we pointed this out, we were told that fish contains bones...We also ordered omura rice, ramen, chicken karage, mixed tempura and takoyaki. No issues there, though the ramen broth and the tempura dip were a little bland.Our biggest issue is with the atmosphere caused by the staff. Our server (young man with the glasses) was fantastic - attentive, informative and polite. Only point of improvement is to clear plates after we've paid and left.It was not nice to hear the senior staff berating junior staff, regardless of whether we understood what was said.

I ordered some food from deliveroo and it was below average. the sushi didn't taste fresh and the rice around was overcooked. It wasn't a pleasant experience and I wasn't 100% after eating the food. I am giving 2 star as I had food from them previously and it was much better. I am not planning to order any food from them anymore.

In terms of flavours, they did well. However presentation was their weak point.I ordered sushi and even though it was prepared swiftly and tasted good, I wasn't very impressed by what seemed to be very little care put into the presentation of the dishes.I also ordered the chicken katsu curry and once again the presentation of the dish wasn't very flattering.In general, we liked the food we ordered and would recommend it if you're in the area and looking for a small quiet restaurant with friendly staff.

Ramen was excellent! The broth is the best I’ve tasted in London so far. Great service. The grilled chicken was a little fatty but flavour was present and accounted for. Recommend.

I always order food to take away from Edo and sometimes I just go there to eat. Excellent customer service and amazing food. Quality is good and not so expensive as usually the Japanese restaurants are. Highly recommended.
