Estrela Bar in Lambeth

We stoped here to have lunch on our family day off...and we had an amazing surprise. Lovely Portuguese taste...really reccomend great portions,very well served.

When last Sunday. Nice place and ambient. The service is pleasant and the food, just a bit dissapointed with the way the Spanish omelette was made (too much egg) and the pimento padron too oiled but overall food is amazing.

I came here twice with family during the summer, and both times, the atmosphere was excellent. Their Caldo Verde is lovely, even though the chorizo is somewhat rubbery, and even though the menu lists it as 'kale soup' (my Portuguese friend insists that it is made with collard greens). Portion sizes are generous, and the starters are pretty reasonably priced. The only major drawback was that I ordered a filet mignon on the second occasion, and even though I asked for it to be cooked medium rare, it arrived well done. It was essentially kebab meat. This was really disappointing given how much I paid for it, and given how rarely I indulge in beef due to its environmental impact. Still, as long as they learn to cook steaks properly, I might come again.

This has to be one of the worst places I’ve ever been to. COD and calamari was rubbery and overcooked and wasn’t tasty in general. The Piri-Piri chicken had no flavour, just charred. The steak and the rest of the food was edible but nothing I’d eat again.However, if you want a good Sagres pint with a sprinkle bad customer service this is the place to go.

Great food and staff. Squid, prawn and fish cake starters were delicious, the tomato, cheese and avocado dish I didn't enjoy as much. The waiter recommended we remove a dish as it was too much for two people and he was right, I appreciate his honesty. Really enjoyed my meal here, the mixed seafood Paella was amazing!

Good place if you want to “escape” from London and get into a different food experience, been in many Portuguese restaurants and this one so far is the best one. If you never been to Portugal before and you want to try their food this place will be the one for you, but even if you been to Portugal, I’m 100% sure that this place will “take you back”. Love the atmosphere, amazing food (if you ask me, go ahead an order all the tapas you want), good place if you want to spend a lovely afternoon with friends or family. Highly recommended!!! There’s a reason why sometimes you have to queue for more than 45 minutes.

Such a GREAT experience! People very kind, excellent service even in difficult times like now. Everything so tidy and clean. And the food was A M A Z I N G!!! For sure I’ll be back as soon the restaurant can open ♥️

Bad service, food is terrible.Food terrible, squid, tasted like rubber.The waitress moves my food didn't even ask how was your lunch.Staff is terrible they look at you like they are doing you a big favour by doing they which they are getting for.I would not recommend the place for anyone.A month ago I went there for dinner with colleagues they forgot to send our order. We waited for 3 hours, in the end, we left the place, without dinner.Today I went with a friend for lunch and it was don't believe table service ever.And don't believe the reviews.

We ordered from Estrela Bar on Deliveroo - food are generally nice but heavy.Things we liked:- Nata - crispy and eggyThings that are okay:- Francesinha - amazing chorizos but I feel like it’s too heavy.- the squid is soft and nice but lacks flavouringsThings that we didn’t like:- Bacalhau -it’s not crispy at all- chips

I don’t know how authentic Portuguese food tastes like, but this was just not tasty.Chips were made from frozen potatoes, which is not nice.Francesinha didn’t win our hearts over.The highlight of the meal was marinated onion.
