Great British Fish and Chips in Lambeth

Overall disappointed in chips and service. Nothing british about frozen chip fried up with extortionate prices. I'm being generous on the 1 star

Friendly helpful staff, clean and efficient poor quality food. The quality of the the fish and chips, sadly, does not represent a British institution. I would not recommend you eat here unless desperate, look for an alternative fish and chip experience.

Asked at the till if fresh handmade chips, reply was yes. Now i can see clearly it was frozen chips fried and not fresh made either, god knows how long before they fried it. Horrible taste chips. No go zone please. Thanks.

Can you hear that? The screams of the souls of whatever the heck I just ate! I had chicken and chips. Worst parts of the chicken, tasted like the worst parts of the chicken to, I can't actually think of an adjective besides bland. The chips were chunky, well cooked but I suddenly became aware I was eating potatoes. Hot dog tasted like I'd just been robbed of the best part of £10. The redemption was the staff, who were lovely! The food, it's price and everything else from that point just goes wrong 🤷 sorry!

Went during a very busy lunchtime during half term. The place was rammed! The wait was short and the food was hot and tasty. Decent value for the money. The staff were absolutely rushed off their feet but all were very polite and attentive. The tables and chairs were constantly being cleaned and the place was very clean considering how busy they were.

Don’t even know what I was thinking 💭??? Food is dry, chips where like cardboard and ultimately yeah chicken wasn’t moist enough it was dry too! The milkshake supposedly strawberry 🍓! Tasted nothing of the likes. And yeah ultimately the milkshake all I could taste was just the sugar in the shake and nothing more and nothing else.Ultimately also price wasn’t cheap either! This is just a typical tourist trap ! To put it bluntly and wouldn’t recommend it to a friend or myself again! I only opted to eat here as I was passing by and nothing else really! A bit foolish of me but oh well!

Went here whilst on a weekend away. Paid £22 for A chicken box, a hot dog and chips and 2 drinks.The quality of the food was okay. Chips were fresh but the chicken was a little dry and the hot dog bun was crunchy at the end but soft in the middle which was a bit peculiar to my partner.The service was good, very polite staff and helped if we had any questions

If I could give this place no stars I would, food was discussing and very expensive, do not eat here, by far the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Your rushed to your table after that it’s all self service and I believe the staff are aware of the rubbish you are being served. Twelve pounds for a something they call fish that taste and feels like cardboard and a handful of chips, the sauces are in sachets which are impossible to open that’s if you can find them in the first place. Plain and simple advice do not eat here

Well organized and friendly staffs. There are takeaways and service guides to table, but You have to order by yourself by front desk. Very good and fresh fish and chips, and spicy chicken. 😋But the the black coffee was Not good at all, so don’t drink black coffee there🤨
