Hung's Restaurant in Lambeth

Have been here a few times now with my Godparent and the food is tasty and made well. Service is good and what I like is the little hot plate they put on the table so your food stays warm.Portions are good. I had the Meat Spring rolls which were tasty and accompanied with a side dish of Sweet Chilli Sauce which went down well. Then I had the Chicken Sweet and Sour with Chicken Noodles which was tasty and went down well.Good service, polite and clean. Can't fault them. Godparent says he has been coming to this place for years and I know he wouldn't continue to visit if the food wasn't good so that is good.What is nice is after the meal, they give you "hot" wet wipes to clean your hands as well as some fortune cookies which is a nice gesture at the end of the meal. Nice little place to support locally if you live within the area.

ordered at 8pm, it's now 10pm. I called up at 9.30 and was politely told that it wouldn't be much longer and they where sorry as its CNY...but that was half an hour ago. We don't even want the food now but will loose 30 quid if we cancel. If you can't take the order and deliver, don't accept it, we want to go to bed. Shame, ordered one time before and food was nice, never again.

Food is always tasty and on time....writing the review because last night we ordered a little off menu and the item was missing from the bag. When I rang to get a refund THEY DELIVERED IT TO THE HOUSE AT NO CHARGE! That's what I call customer service. Keep it up Hung's and we'll keep coming back 👍🏻

I hadn't ordered from Hung's ever before - i did eat in once, about 25 years ago and really enjoyed the food. So i ordered a few nights ago and i have to say i was really impressed with what was delivered. I had egg fried rice 👍, capital spare rib ( really very tasty) , fried tofu in oyster sauce, beef with ginger and spring onions and pak choi in oyster sauce too. What i liked best was that it was all freshly cooked and certainly not drowning in MSG / salt. The vegetable dish actually required some seasoning on arrival and i rate the restaurant for this, they clearly spend time and effort on getting things right, which is why they're still here after all this time.

Easily the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. This is some achievement these days.Sweet and sour chicken had barley any chickenThe noodles were inedible slop. Even the cat wouldnt eat the chicken that came with it.The house starters were disgusting. I don't know what you did to that ribs but please stop.And the price is a joke, that lot cost me 40 odd quid on Uber eats with a few drinks. Save yourself some money/time/gut health and avoid this place

Good flavour and quality ingredients. Service was decent and they made an effort to bring our dishes out quicker after we'd told them we were in a rush to make our movie after dinner. However, portion size was smaller than expected. Would give it another go when it's less busy.

Great food, welcoming staff. Mum's birthday meal for 11 was 💯. Not a hungry diner left. See you again 👌
