L'Italiano in Lambeth

Great location. Good wine. Limited menu but everything which was available was cooked to a good standard. Kids menu was good. Service was very good, staff were very friendly.

Overall the restaurant is average, details are below:Environment: 4/5The place is located on first floor of park plaza, so the outside is nothing special. As for the interior it is modern and elagant. Also the place is clean.Food: 3/5I ordered soup of the day which was cauliflower soup and a main course of lasagna. The soup looked appealing but tastes average. As for the lasagna it tasted frozen and was heated up.Service: 2/5This place needs to work in improving their service. The servers were nice and smiling. However, the service was slow. Servers were a bit lost and it was a bit hard to find a server to ask for something. And appetizers and main course came at the same time.

Ok here is my story: I ordered a normal pizza margherita with ham. I waited about 10 minutes and it came. Then I could not find the ham on my pizza. So I ordered a new one. What I thought: oh I get a fresh pizza with ham. What I got: A plate with cold slices of ham on it. After a few minutes of laughing I ate my down cold pizza with cold ham.At last one of the kitchen crew man screamed: ,, Service please!"And I actually don't know what I should think of this restaurant. Oh and I got spring rocks on my chocolate pot. (Sparkling rocks like little explosions in my mouth.

As mediocre as it gets. Poorly made food at a decent price. I ordered the lasagna; it was flavorless. The waitstaff is very helpful but, the food is bland.

Food was good and so was the service. The only downfall was that my husband ordered the chicken, asked for it to be plain, just salt and pepper. It arrived with half a lemon on the top and dill. Told the waiter what we ordered, he promptly took it away and came back very quickly with what we thought was a fresh chicken but all they did was removed the lemon and dill so you could still taste the lemon. Obviously complained about that as it clearly states if anyone has an allergy to anything to let them know 🙄 other than that we couldn't fault them.

If you like to wait an hour for passable Italian cuisine, you'll LOVE L'Italiano!!Seriously though, the restaurant is very pretty but man is the service horrific.. I've never waited longer for pasta in my life.

Food without taste that did not look freshly made, small portions, bad and unfriendly service (depending on the person). Never ate such a bad „italian“ pizza and pasta. Prices are not reasonable for that „offered service“. Never again!

Decent food at a decent price. The atmosphere isn't great and the service is a little slow. The is food is good and it is somewhere I would go again.

Good value for money. The antipasti selection was broad and tasty. If you are vegetarian, then there are many options on the menu for you. If you're happy to try something different then I recommend the squid ink cuttlefish risotto - that was the highlight of the evening for me. In terms of location, not too far on foot from Waterloo Station. Service is spot on. It's so much better than the average hotel based restaurant.
