La Casita in Lambeth

Had ordered from La Casita quite often during the pandemic and found their food to be absolutely delicious.However, my partner and I had recently ordered again and we were really disappointed with what we had recieved (poor quality food and small portion sizes). I had subsequently left a bad review expressing my disappointment.The restaurant reached out to me directly offering to redo the order. Having recieved this, I can say the portion size was a lot better and what we would expect.My only concern is I do think the quality of the food on this occasion was not as good compared to our previous orders. Mainly the meat which was average. Perhaps a personal preference but I did have quite a bit of fat in my meat which wasn't great and my partner's steak still thin and lacked flavour. For the food I would probably go at 3.5 out of 5 (previously a 5* during pandemic).However, overall, I will leave the restaurant with 4 stars as their customer service was outstanding and they did look to rectify where they went wrong last time to the point that they even went out their way to deliver to me themselves. They seemed very sorry for what had happened to our previous order and I accept their apology.My only advice to the restaurant is to please keep an eye on quality control with the meat that's being sourced and how it's being cooked as I'm pretty sure there's been a negative change here compared to when we ordered back in 2020/21 (perhaps new staff? Change of supplier?).

I originally found La Casita in the midst of the pandemic when all businesses were shut and we were all at home.I ordered from them several times and I was really blown away - the quality of their dishes was unmatched and so flavourful. I had the Sirloin Steak and Bitoque a few times - the meat was so delicious, thick and flavoursome. Honestly, it was truly incredible.It had been about a year and I was really feeling like some Portuguese cuisine and La Casita popped back in to my head. I placed an order with no concerns.However, when the food arrived we were truly shocked and disappointed. It was nothing like the dishes we had had before. My steak was over cooked, incredibly thin and tiny. It was difficult to eat and there wasn’t much taste. My rice had also been forgotten so I received a practically empty container. My partner’s was also quite similar - he had ordered the Madeira Skewer and had all of 4 small pieces of meat which again tasted incredibly lacklustre. He had also paid £17 for his dish whilst I had paid £15.95. They aren’t the cheapest of dishes and we certainly expected much more for what we paid. We left a review regarding our poor experience and the restaurant reached out and offered to re-do our order which we both thought was very kind and we respected their approach.My partner reached out to them today and the order was re-done and delivered to us. I really am appreciative of this and their approach to our review. It is very honourable of them. The food was better today than what we received a few days ago but still not comparable to the quality we received when we placed previous orders at the end of 2020/start of 2021. The quality of the meat is no longer what it once was which is what is most important for me. We won’t be eating from La Casita again but are very appreciative of their attempt and approach.We wish you all the best going forward.

Had dinner here with a mate on Boxing Day. Loved it. Has that nice family run vibe and great food. Felt like I was abroad. The banoffee pie blew my mind!

My partner & i have been here twice for breakfast and can simply say it was amasing. My partner with age has become a very fussy eater often when eating out food has to be returned as may not be cooked enough. At La Casita we have been pleasantly surprised at how the food was presented and cooked excellently. All food is fresh and you wont be hungry after. Lovely decor and well presented staff. You are always made to feel very welcome.

The best restaurant in Streatham hands down. The food is of a high quality each and every time and the customer service is amazing! I am always met with a Genuine smile when I enter and the staff and very attentive. I would highly recommend going here.This is now my new lcoal restaurant that I will continue to go to and support because the whole experience is a 10/10

A great place to feel at home. Delicious food prepared with passion. Enjoyed the food and socializing with the staff. We will definitely come back here again.

The food is very good and I recommend it 100%. I try Bacalhau à Moda “Brás” the taste is wonderful and then I try the homemade dessert and the taste is so delicious. Thank you for your service 😊😌

Streatham is blessed with some very good quality restaurants and I rate La Casita right up there with the rest. The Mediterranean themed restaurant serves classic Portuguese and Spanish dishes such as garlic prawns and seafood paella. The service is warm and friendly, and makes you feel that you're at home.

Nice Portuguese restaurant with very friendly staff serving, they are really kind. The food was okay, I liked the paella although it was more greasy than others I’ve had elsewhere.
