Really lovely, no-frills cafe serving English food by day and also a Thai menu for lunch and dinner. Super fresh, super tasty and very reasonably priced. Bring your own alcohol (£1 corkage per person) and cash only. Highly recommended.

The best Thai I’ve had. One of the best fry ups I’ve had. The best cup of tea I’ve ever had. Don’t bother with Rosa’s Thai or any other chains. Always a warm welcome and brilliant service. A Waterloo institution.

We are a little spoiled in Waterloo for Thai restaurants so we hadn’t yet made our way to Marie’s Cafe, despite all of the rave reviews!!As with most Thai’s in London this is very much a no frills, great value, good food kind of place!!Service is polite and not overbearing, portions are good and the flavours were right on point!Got to love Thai for being able to get a load of vegetables in and still taste so so good!!This place is well worth checking out if you are in the area and fancy something quick and easy before a show or before jumping on your train! Our fave things: Simple yet efficient offering and BYOB (always a winner!!)

Possibly the best value Thai restaurant in Central London - however do note that their pad see ew is not cooked with flat rice noodles. Can’t wait to try their lunch menu and fried rice!

Cheap and cheerful. Bring your own drinks. Tables are very close together. Veg pad Thai +Tofu and veg green curry we're both delicious.

·

Proper café, friendly staff, reasonable priced food.

I would highly recommend and I will be going back!Marie's Cafe is a casual and relaxed Thai restaurant in the evening, serving excellent food that has good sized portions and is very reasonably priced. It's cash only though so make sure to draw money out before hand! It's also BYOB. I don't think we got charged corkage but if we did I didn't notice on the bill.We had prawn crackers and chicken satay to start.Chicken pad Thai and chicken green Thai curry for main. And rice pudding for dessert.I think I'll order veggie next time as I'm not a big meat eater but I went with one.It was all delicious!! I was especially impressed with the rice pudding.I'd probably try a different starter to the chicken satay next time, although it was still yummy.Suitable for veggies. But prawn crackers are unfortunately not veggie!

Amazing, authentic Thai food from Mr. Chai and his family. If you want as close as a taste of authentic Thai food then this little gem of a restaurant is THE place to go. Food was simply perfect!!

·

Wonderful little Thai cafe. Food is delicious and you can bring your own bottle of booze if you wish. It’s always very busy, and understandably so - food arrives quickly and prices are shockingly low. Many vegetarian and vegan options. It can get very crowded in the evenings.

Busy Thai cafe that serves authentic Thai food. This is one of the few places in London I’ve found that serve quality authentic Thai food just like how it would taste in Thailand and dishes are very decently priced for its location. Wait staff are helpful, friendly and service was amazing. We ordered the vegetable pad Thai and the massaman curry which were super tasty! Highly recommend getting the banana fritters for dessert. We also ordered the mixed starter, and since my partner and I are vegetarian, the waiter who served us made sure to substitute any of the starters with meat by offering us additional vegetarian spring rolls which worked out to be better value. Portions are a decent size and you leave the restaurant feeling satisfied. Please note that it is a cash only restaurant!! On an evening, there is usually a queue as it’s a very popular restaurant- but well worth the wait!
