Mazi Mas at Ovalhouse Theater in Lambeth

Only visited the bar not the theatre, but a great meeting place, central to the action and not overwhelmed by it. Modernist industrial vibe, reasonable prices. Good pint of red stripe. Nice.

Beautiful space in the midst of Brixton showcasing wonderful niche art and great performances

I have been waiting for this place to open for so long. I think it's been at least 200 years since there has been a working theatre in Brixton.So it's a big deal! As you can expect. Great vibes, super helpful and friendly staff. There's shows for kids and adults, music classes, live events, community projects and more . This is a start of a new era, this is Brixton house theatre!

Brixton House are finally open after 6+ years of planning and building. I've already been three times and can confidently say it was worth the wait. I've been to shows in both the theatre spaces and tried out the bar. There's a sense of joy throughout, front of house staff are buzzing with energy and the creative team are very much in evidence. All the shows have been superb. A diverse mix of local and international companies and shows for all ages. (The preschool show was delightful.)This is the best new thing in Brixton this century.

A lovely, warm and comfy venue. We saw Snow White and the Happy Ever After Beauty Salon which was really funny.There is a small bar inside the venue however food is not allowed inside the theatre.

Visited for the first time to see The Dark which is a fantastic play by Nick Makoha (on until 1/12/18. Go!) Loved the venue. Great seating. Also impressed by the bar and caribbean food on offer. Would return.

The showcase of talent from London and the work being done for the community in this space is so heart-warming. I would recommend seeing as much as you can here, I bought a ticket to see a show for only £5 and it was a really memorable experience.

Lovely little theatre. Their programme is engaged and bold. Very exciting shows! They also support a lot of community work, youth projects, young / new artists. Nice team, good food on the show evenings (Bokitla!) Really worth checking!
