"Pratts & Payne takes its name from two Streatham local icons – the now-vanished Pratts department store and Streatham’s own risqué legend, Cynthia Payne. A former men’s clothing store boasting high ceilings and eclectic décor, the pub now serves a wide and rotating range of craft beers and ales and everything else you would expect in your favourite local. Look out the back to find our tranquil covered beer garden."

My wife and I decided to come over for a late lunch. There was a very friendly atmosphere at the entrance. A member of the team served us very professionally and we felt very nice. We get special attention to the menu which is very sophisticated and satisfies every requirement. We chose two mains from the menu it was Lamb shoulder ragu and the Roasted Salmon fillet that explored our palates. They were just delicious. We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to pop in for a pint of good beer and eat well at the same time.

Fave local. Reasonable selection of beers with some local brews on offer, and the burgers are good.

The staff are always so friendly and went out of their way to help make my husband's surprise birthday amazing!

Friendly and helpful staff. Fair prices but I didn't like the beer choices. Sadly the pub is in serious need of a refurb. Flooring is in a terrable state and dangerous. I wouldn't reccomend this pub for people with disabilities or wheel chair users. Nice garden.

I keep forgetting this place is actually pretty nice. First place I've found since the lockdown started easing to have not just one but FOUR draught ales (in addition to the usual array of nitrokeg offerings). Beer was fairly nice; a bit cloudy, perhaps could have rested on the stillage for longer - but still OK.The garden out the back is paved and they've got a big cover to shelter from the sun/rain. It feels a bit bleak and industrial, facing the air conditioners and fire escapes, but they've offset that with a few plants around the edges.Interesting building, and a great venue name, celebrating Streatham's colourful history.

Really happy this place is reopening, I have been once and have been telling friends about it since..The roast Pork was exceptional, I come from a family of cooks and this was a different level. Sumac hummus, just wow! My friend had the Vegan wellington and vowed that this would be the only place he will ever eat it again! Nice easy atmosphere, relaxed service.

Food was okay but the table service was terrible. There was one good female waitress who was running around like a headless chicken, but tonnes of wait staff who did nothing. One guy told us he would be back to take our order in a minute and never returned. We then didn't have anyone come around tk take our order for almost an hour when we finally decided to go in and ask for someone to, yknow, do their job. Ridiculously overpriced particularly for such appalling service.

So glad to be back in the best pub in South London! Visited on Thursday and had the loveliest experience. The vegan hot dog was really tasty and a great portion size. Would recommend this dish massively. The vegan brownie was also another game changer. On top of some excellent customer service and local charm, the food really makes this pub stand out. Will definitely be making this a regular occurrence.
