Nice vegetarian salad and soup. Enjoyable but quite small portions

Been a few times and enjoyed previous visits. Relaxed venue with good quality vegetarian food in a pleasant space. Sadly some bad vibes from the lady working today left a bad taste. A complete lack of flexibility with a simple food request and curt responses to basic questions. Not a happy experience.Having written this, I then read some of the other reviews and it seems this theme is a pretty common one!

Really good veg menu. fresh and put together with care. Coffee really good, good price point. Home cooked. highly recommend. The gallery above is an unexpectedly large space.Well it says brunch but you get the lunch menu. If the menu is ready. Quirkily charming with food very tasty and good coffee with soya or almond milk. Expect a laid back unhurried and mildly eccentric approach ! Overall ok

Absolutely lovely vegetarian and vegan only options. We had breakfast here and it was very tasty and freshly prepared. The smoothies and Sandwich options are amazing. We are so glad we came in here!

Great vegetarian and vegan food, ideal for a tasty and relaxing lunch! With seats both outside, sorrounded by plants, and inside. Located in the spaces of Beaconsfield gallery, a true gem of the contemporary Art London scene, that regurarly hosts exhibitions and events. Highly recommended

Food was just ok, nothing special. Very chilled cafe, service was good.

I feel completely compelled to write this review after a really bad overall experience. When you arrive you are greeted with cold disdain to the effect that you are not wanted. The space is not heated so I was rather shivering. The food was barely palatable and while I forced mine down two other parties barely touched theirs, obviously because its so bland. They clearly use sub-par ingredients in terms of the bread and eggs, which were stale and over cooked. New patrons are not greeted, and are left to stare at quarter eaten food because staff didn't care whatsoever to do anything about it, and I mean forever!

I visited the ragged canteen for lunch last week and was hugely disappointed. Not only did I pay over £5 for a piece of dry bread and avocado, but the service was disgraceful. A friend who I was with was given an incorrect order and the response from a member of staff was extremely dismissive and plain rude – there is no excuse for this. I could perhaps understand this to some extent if the place was busy, but it was not. I dread to think what the service is like during busier periods. Based on this and the poor quality of the food, I am reluctant to even give this place 1 star – the name reflects the poor service and I would not recommend others to visit.

Totally unpretentious and nice. The décor is simple but the food is good and ample. Home made beans, good bread. Staff are the really pleasant. I recommend the cake, too.

Love the brunch here. Always has amazing vegan options
