Great location (very convenient with nice view) but suffers from poorly trained staff. I ordered a turmeric latte and they appear to have dumped in a full spoonful of turmeric powder, so it was powdery with un-dissolved spice, and the smell and flavour of turmeric powder was overwhelming. It was absolutely undrinkable, almost gag-inducing. Gaak!

Who is (or is not) managing this place - Gather & Gather?? It used to a great place when Co of Cooks managed the site. Needs strong professional take over with management that understand music and arts audience combined with Food and drink service

·

Slow service, two coffee machines but only using one?? Eight!! Staff, two tills and still very slow.

Visited on remembrance Sunday. Charged for 3 coffees but only ordered two. Queried it and told I was being reimbursed for one but no, my statement shows a further charge. All in all over ÂŁ11 for 2 drinks. Avoid at all costs.

The very worst place ever. Poor staff. Bad staff Hot. Lucky there is not zero stars. Please go to another place. You will thanks me. Zero on all counts. No signs and no manager

I used to be a regular visitor to the Festival Hall and it’s cafe pre pandemic and went fo a coffee at this cafe yesterday. I was really disappointed in the attitude- I decided to have one of the special offer coffee with a pastry deals which ended at midday. When I asked for it about 12.13 I was told that “the deal had finished” as it was past 12. The manager was rude and blunt and when I pointed out that the notices as still up for it after 12 she said it had “finished” I found this really rude and unhelpful. Please be kinder to your customers in this era when we are probably facing a recession soon and people have been struggling.

Relieved to see that it’s not just me. This place used to be a really good café - albeit expensive. Now it’s just terrible and still expensive. Quality of food and drink is poor and the customer service is abysmal. It really does feel like another bit of the visible collapse of civilisation.

Consistently terrible food and service. Your coffee order is often lost. The millet broccoli and squash dish had raw millet, way overcooked, half rotted broccoli and over spiced damp nuts. Just terrible.

·

Expensive arts centre cafe. Indistinguishable from any museum or theatre cafe in the world. Service was fast, but prices high and only justified by location.

·

An overpriced cafe which feels a bit like a school canteen, but it's a decent enough place to have a quick drink in while you wait for friends. Very little alcohol is served at this bar, but the well-stocked Central Bar is just behind it, and you can bring those drinks through.
