Satay Bar in Lambeth

Went there for a friend's birthday, Security guy Carl was friendly and greeted us at the door. Food was nice and waiters were attentive, happy hour cocktails 5-8pm. Would definitely recommend, not just the food but the vibes alone from the security guard would make me come back and tell my friends.

Great selection of drinks and don't miss the happy hour until 8pm with delicious exotic cocktails, half price. Had some prawn gyozas and prawn crackers with sweet chili sauce, excellent. Had a great time with good music also 👍 thanks to the manager

Staff were nice, 2 for £10 for cocktails until 8pm are such a good deal - which I loved. I've been here a few times now but I did find the food not as nice as I've had it before. I had lamb skewers (first time I'd ordered that from Satay Bar) and that tasted chewy/tough and looked over cooked. Like it had been sat there for awhile and then reheated. So I asked for it to be replaced and was given a prawn bao bun instead. Which I really liked. I then ordered the duck which I've had many times and is my favourite but that also tasted over cooked and chewy/dry. Not sure why it was like that... I would go again but if the food is subpar I will keep returning the food as many times as needed.

It was good. The food is tasty and the atmosphere was just right. My only gripe is no one was wearing masks even though their was signage saying they had to unless seated.

Been a while since I went to Satay Bar and they honestly never fail. I had the Duck and Rice, absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection and so flavoursome too. It was contactless ordering but the staff were still lovely and ensured to let us know they were there if we needed them for anything. Will definitely be back again to try some more of the menu!

I've always enjoyed the food at the Satay Bar. Due to the panoramic, our large dinner party could only book tables for a maximum of six. The staff really made an effort to seat all ten of us as close as possible. This was very kind of them. The table service was good, there is some room for improvement though. As a mature man I didn't like having to be searched by security when entering. But I suppose that's the world we live in, unfortunately. Considering it was a Friday night close to Christmas I was surprised how quite the bar area was, usually you have to queue to get a drink. If felt like a shift from a lively bar to just a restaurant. Which was fine for us as we had reserved a table. I would always recommend food at the Satay Bar, but I would not recommend it for a good place to grab a drink. There are to many other places with better atmospheres and music within walking distance.

My first visit to Satay bar since the ease of lockdown restrictions.I booked a table for two for a Saturday night for me and my mum.We started with a Strawberry mojito to wet our appetite. Satay Bar certainly don't skimp on the alcohol with their cocktails and if you're a light weight like me expect to be tipsy after half a glass.They have done away with table menus, and instead you have to order online by first scanning a QR code to access the menu. The staff were helpful in advising about this.Miscommunication occurred as I had asked the waitress to bring the starters and mains separately, but this did not happen and instead (a different) waiter brought the food out and cited he wasn't aware of this request. Nevertheless, we got stuck in and the food was plentiful and I particularly enjoyed all my dishes, particularly my main of lamb cutlets and egg fried rice. Unfortunately for my mum she had eaten a few chillies with her lamb starter and she expressed 'it nearly blew my head off'The atmospheric vibrancy of Satay Bar still remains!.

I went to satay bar a couple of days ago and was helped by a lovely waitress whose name I remember being Raven she has the most kind hearted, clean, spirited soul and she was always smiling she made my experience there 5 out of 5 I will be definitely coming back because of her! Thank you!If she goes I definitely won’t be coming back the rest of the staff are very rude especially that manager…

Came here for a small birthday celebration. It was my 2nd time being at Satay. They do 2 for 1 cocktails till 8pm so get there on time!!! Food presentation is nice, the music is a vibeeee. The cocktails have far too much ice so it weakens the drink and you don't get enough fluid from them.The staff and so lovely. We were given a round of tequila on the house.Reasonably priced.The bathroom was not in the best state on my visit.If you know Brixton then you know the difficulty to get parking, so plan ahead.

This has been a good to since the 90s but since needing a wheelchair Satay Bar has become my favourite local haunt. The food is excellent at all times and service is swift. It is a bit different to get through by phone but this is expected when such a busy bar.They are also great at hiding cakes in the kitchen to be brought out with singing if you are celebrating a birthday
