Sizzling Plaice in Lambeth

Lovely chips. I don't eat fish myself, but my parents do and I bought fish for them. They loved it.

Very good fish and chips with a generous portions. Also has very friendly staff

Lovely chat with the lady at the till. Not so lovely food poisoning from the reheated fish. Been up since 4am with belly ache.

Whether it’s fish n chips or a Chinese dish the food is always great. Love the saveloys..,, got a nice crunch to them. Chips are fab too and always plenty of them. Service is fantastic. Always greeted with a warm smile and served by a lovely lady. Would recommend this take away to everybody. Gill Chesney.

Had a lovely cod and chips with saveloy. The fish was fresh and moist not overfried like some chippies...staff was friendly, the price was very reasonable, no fault. Enjoyed a passing by lunch. Brings back memories of my school lunch when we go out to our nearby chippie!

cant say about the fish and chips as i had Chinese. Lets just say the food was absolutely disgusting far too dry no flavour even brought more sweet and sour sauce but to no avail as it too was flavour less. Will not be going back here again will stick to Chinese up the road.

A regular customer over the years. Owner very friendly buy worst fish and chips ever. Chips always reheated fish batter dark brown in colour like it's been soaked in oil. Fish inside is grey should be white. Will not be going again have given this place so many chances to improve. Do not recommend!!!!!

I have been coming to Sizzling Plaice for at least 3 years. The customer service is excellent . The quality of the food is excellent. I would recommend this venue.

Doesn't look very glamorous from the outside but don't be fooled. This is a lovely little takeaway. Have to be some of friendliest staff in London. Can't seem to find many places around here that do proper fish and chips but this one does. Large chips and cod for £6. Recommended.

This has to be the worst place for Chips. The fat looks like it needs changing, the chips are dry and always dark in colour, portions are small and the chips are always bits what I would call the ends of potato's.If people think this is good then you need to try Rowan Fish Bar where the chips are of a proper size, Fresh looking in colour and portions are plentiful. Time for a proper chip shop in the vale.
