Lovely spot off the main road, lush espresso martinis and all the staff are so friendly. Really nice vibe and a great atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend to a anyone passing through Brixton. 👌

I had a booking here for my birthday and had to cancel over 24 hrs ahead of time because I fell unwell with Covid. Not only did they refuse to give me my deposit back (which was £100!!), the lady on the phone, who I will not name, was extremely rude and showed no sympathy for the fact that I was unwell, having to cancel my birthday, and losing money...My booking was for a table to sit 20 people. This lady told me that they would not give me my deposit back as they would now not be able to fill the tables... amazingly greedy as the place is always full on a Friday night, hence my booking!!!Shocked at how rude the staff were. Such a shame. 0 stars from me.

Great experience all round. Especially good service, the barman Luke was especially good and made sure to make our experience as good as possible

I came here for weekend brunch. Service was good, the venue was really cool and liked the lower volume of music compared to other trendy places. The food was OK but not amazing - we ordered the burrata salad and hash brown. The dough in the salad was not fresh out of the oven and burrata was also a bit plasticy. The hash lacked flavour.

Bustling specialist pizza restaurant in Brixton. Competitive pricing and good food.

Excellent ambiance and atmosphere! Amazing food where I really loved the Spicy Tagliatelle! Special shoutout to Joseph who is an amazing bartender and took extreme care of us and his smile is contagious. We ordered 2 espresso martinis and he made them in a blink of an eye and were outstanding! Also, he made our other cocktails very rapidly and tasted so good! Highly recommended place!

This is one of the most beautiful buildings and in fact, restaurants in Brixton. A converted former canteen of the department store, it carries a lot of history and the renovation is very aesthetically pleasing. The atmosphere is great for visit with friends for drinks or just to work in your laptop whilst you drink coffee. Staff are very friendly and nice too. Never had rude service during my visits

TOP TIP: Book a booth if you’re planning ahead!Day or night, I love this spot. Light, bright, open interiors adding a touch of something special and (almost) opposite(ish) to Brixton tube. It’s the sort of place you say “ooooh” when you walk in. Service is always on top and has a nice mix of people throughout the day and night.Great coffees and well mixed cocktails to sourdough pizzas, salads, or light brunch items, Canova Hall has got it right and welcome people to hot desk during the day. It’s relaxed and caring. Loads of plugs so you can “work from home”… perhaps just don’t show the bar on zoom calls! It’s a YES.Liv.

Visited here on Saturday afternoon, was very busy but staff were still attentive with good service. Drinks and food were lovely. And the interior is very cool, great music. I’m not giving 5 stars as I think the pricing is a bit crafty - most restaurants offer one food dish plus unlimited drinks, however Canova requires you to buy a dish separately.

Great place to go for Bottomless Brunch, the drinks were free flowing and the food was tasty. The only thing was, as soon as you over stayed your welcome they were quick to tell you that they need the table :-( and at that time was not particularly busy.
