One of my favourite pubs in London. You can tell the landlord really loves this pub. Great food and a great vibe. Would really recommend

Fabulous Sunday roast, we went for a Christmas party on Sunday 5th . Staff could not have been more helpful, from accommodating 11 people, giving us plenty of time at the table (2hr45) the selection of dishes was amazing, the beef shin stew and mash sharer was melt in the mouth. The rare roast beef Sunday roast was the best beef I have had in a while , with super tangy horseradish. Lamb shank was also a winner. Special note on the smoked eel starter - delicious . Trudy our waitress was on the ball, super quick at replenishing those wine bottles. Will definitely be back again .

Had the strangest experience. Ordered food for 3, we were hungry and wanted steak or lamb, the only real option was the larger lamb dish for 5. We ordered the lamb but were told we were not allowed to order it since there were only 3 of us. We were willing to pay the full price, there was never any insinuation we would not. We always order more food than the average person since we meet up rarely and like to make an event of it and never waste any food. We were told to order something else, at which point we were recommended the pheasant for 2...3 of us present, so we'd need to order 2 portions so for 4 people, utterly puzzling. We decided our custom was clearly not required. I have never visited somewhere that seeks to enforce what an acceptable amount for one person to eat is and limits it strictly. Avoid.

Delicious menu - every menu item looked and sounded amazing and I was only sad that I couldn't eat them all! Great pub, lovely food, very friendly staff, excellent value. A real treasure. Eat here, you won't be disappointed.

Right, I will tell you my honest opinion. I went there cause it seems this place always busy, but somehow it wasn't tonight. Anyway.... prices are crazy. 6 pounds for a lager...are you crazy😌 and food menu was just no way.... Literally, it seems people are paying for anything these days. There are way better places with better prices around!

Really high quality food, good ingredients, and a menu that changes regularly. The Sunday roast is excellent, as is the foie gras.

Great staff, super fast and helpful. I unfortunately haven't got the opportunity to eat here yet but have only heard fabulous things. The beer and vibe is great for any day of the week! Recommended for a local!

Great food served with lots of larger sharing dishes like pies, lasagna, slow cooked lamb etc. We had the rabbit and smoked ham pie and it was delicious. Their chips were better than McDonald’s and we mean it as a compliment. Service was fast and friendly overall great experience we would definitely return. Pub is busy as usual but there is enough social distancing between tables.

Great food and service, decent atmosphere and a good wine list. Not cheap, mind.. £38 for a pie (to share) is asking a lot. Half a star knocked off for the pie crust bring over-salted, another half for the dreadful state of the gents toilets. Worth a visit, though.

Can’t say enough good things about this place! Yes we did wait almost two hours to be seated for Sunday roast on a packed Sunday afternoon and yes it was crazy busy...but the older woman who works here kept everything under control and always checked in on us to make sure we were alright up until the moment we left. The roast was phenomenal!
