Great pub, very cozy inside, and fun back garden. I was really happy about their selection of no or low alcoholic drinks for my dry January challenge! Will be back for sure!

What a great place !!! The atmosphere is excellent and the food delicious !! I had one of the best chicken avocado sandwich ever ! There is a very good selection of beer and the service was really friendly. I highly recommend and definitely come back

·

Great food and atmosphere and very attentive, only downside was a he lighting which is not good for someone like myself who is parchily blind ,appart from that minor issue we will definitely return 👍😊

Lovely place to go on the weekends, looking for a good time, great food, lovely staff, beautiful garden space.... definitely worth being throughout the summertime

Would not recommend. We went up to order our food and were told they had barely anything available on the menu. I chose the burger and ended up getting food poisoning. My friend chose the risotto and had to send it back because it was like water. Definitely will not be visiting again

Most friendly pub in the area. They always make an effort to accommodate our needs and preferences. I am vegan and they only had a vegetarian pizza on the menu, but the chefs made sure to make me one without cheese and full of fresh veggies. It was absolutely delicious!I also love their selection of IPAs, always promoting beers from local breweries! Top standards!

It’s probably best to book a table ahead of time, we didn’t know and then it up just walking in which was fine for attending around 6 PM. However it was a football game at night and it got busier as the night went on… A young thin man in a beanie from behind the bar tried his best to seat us and move to surround many times in order for me and my friend to have a good catch-up. We really appreciate all the effort he put in to ensure that we were next to have a table!

Don’t book this place if you expect a roast at a normal time. We booked a table on a Tuesday for 15:30 for the Sunday but when we arrived we were told there were no roasts left due to “unexpected demand”. We were offered no kind of comfort or alternative apart from that they were “busier than expected” and that they had to speak to the kitchen about “reverting to our normal menu”. We ordered burgers from the normal menu (due to nothing else being available) but they were below par and left us feeling hungry. We could see burgers being sent out for other tables which looked bigger and with bigger chips portions. We got a free round of drinks for the table but that was only after we pointed out the lack of goodwill gesture for the total lack of service available. The staff were great, they were just at the mercy of a poor manager: Definitely won’t be back.

We were greeted by Richard who sat us down and made sure we had a good table to watch both football games! We were served by Bruna who was amazingly efficient and friendly! Really good pub! Spacious with great food and drink!

One year later 2018The bar has been updated but still remains it's character.I'm pleased to say with the update the heating has been switched on and is very comfortable now.The Sunday Lunch cost €17.95 & is still delicousRecommended2017A nice big traditional old style pub with original wooden flooring & the smell of a pub too. ( in a good way unlike pub chains all sanitised with no character) Just how a pub should be. A nice selection of food is available which you order & pay for at the bar. I always have the Sunday lunch which is a nice sized plate of food.It is advisable to reserve your table on a Sunday. My only cristism is inside the bar it's far too cold on a winter afternoon. They need to turn the heating on to make the place comfortable then I would stay longer.Other than that I would recommend this place for a Sunday lunch.
