Came in for lunch on a Friday afternoon, everyone was very friendly. We were in at 2pm and it was fairly quiet which I like. The food was great and there was a good selection of soft drinks. This is definitely my new go to pub near Waterloo.

We were meeting friends that we hadn't seen for ages and were looking forward to a catch up. A pub was the preferred choice as a couple of people wanted good beer and we were coming in from various places around London so picked here. What a mistake. The acoustics are terrible so the noise meant we spent the whole evening shouting and even then couldn't speak to the people on other side of the table without sign language. No table service (not a problem) but went to bar to order only to be told half our choices were unavailable. Picked through the remaining choices and managed to cobble together an order mostly steaks and sat and waited and waited and you get the picture. Finally steaks and the one fish and chips that we'd managed to order arrived. No pies yet. Others started pies arrived and we dug in. Steak people said tasty but not enough. I had a pie and that is the reason it is two stars. It was the best pie I've had. Just sell pies maybe that could be your esp. Plates finally cleared and went to order puds. Too late kitchen had just closed..........I appreciate the difficulties of getting produce but cut the menu down if you can't supply dishes, maybe inform food orders that they should order puddings at the same time to avoid disappointment? It was great to see our friends again which is what made the evening for us. Will not be coming back next time we meet. Maybe we're getting old but having to shout all evening is not our idea of fun.

As you enter the pub looks fresh and new. Staff were not very welcoming. Seating was uninviting, school hall standard. Our order was cancelled and 20 minutes later we were asked to resubmit it. Food took a while. Mains fell below standard for the prices charged. My burger looked abysmal and tasted like bad barbecued it was too dry to finish. The apple and fig crumble was not good. There was no crumble. Instead a sprinkling of some kind. Possibly powdered biscuit? All in, a 2 hour meal took us over 3 and a half hours with waiting. when the bill, came, I saw the card machine give the option of service charge. I didn’t press any choice but after I saw the bill they had already added 12.5% which amounted to £43. Add that to food which was completely substandard . £50 a head? What a joke. Overpriced and unremarkable. I can’t believe they are still getting away with food worse that harvester , in central London. Don’t come. Here for food.

Such a cute cosy pub! We went for a Sunday roast which was DELICIOUS! The Yorkshire puddings were incredible. There were dogs so it is dog friendly which is great, it didn't smell or anything so it didn't bother us that's e didn't have a dog. The only thing which is why it's lost a star is the service was so slow! Trying to get s drink or even salt and pepper was like pulling teeth, no one seemed to want to give us attention or serve us! Which was a shame as the food was so good.

Very cosy pub with relaxed atmosphere in central location. Staff is friendly enough.

This is one of those smaller, friendly yet stylish and homely feeling pubs, yet situated in the centre of London, near the Southbank, where it's enjoyable to drink outside during summer or comfortable inside when it's cold or raining. They also provide a limited menu of tasty, modern European bar food. As a drinking and dining venue, it's a little on the expensive side.

4/5 as the draft beer was off earlier today, which was a real shame. Still, the Banana Bread bottled beer was very quaffable! Service was most excellent, professional but friendly. Good atmosphere.

Cute pub not too far from where I live - and popped in before heading to the theatre.. decent beer and wine selection and had a few snacks from the food menu…I’d deffo go back for a few drinks, and if memory serves me well they show sport - so probably head back from a few drinks and the footy

Fabulous food and drink, great ambience, really lovely staff who go the extra mile, and a team who are kind about food allergies and intolerances. With no notice at all, they always manage to cater for our family's weird and wonderful food problems without turning a hair.We go back time and again because it's everything you want in a pub.

Booked a last minute hen do here because our original plans were rained off. The staff were super helpful, reserving the upstairs room for us at a discounted price because it was more suitable for the young children who'd be coming along with some of the mums. The food was delicious, the manager was really attentive- coming up to take orders regularly so we didn't need to come downstairs and helping us with other requests, and we all had a really nice time. I'm really grateful to all the staff for helping us out and making it a memorable day. Would definitely recommend!
