Good food and service although my friend said his lamb jalfreizi was a bit dry and overspiced, and on tasting it I had to agree. The rest of the food was very good although a little bit expensive compared to similar restaurants in the area.

Went here with a group on a Friday night as a last minute alternative to the Kings Arms around the corner. We ordered a round of bottled Indian lager and they brought them out already poured into pint glasses without showing us the bottles... could have been any old supermarket lager from a can for all we know. Food was ok/average.

COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT☹️.1. The barer was rude to us from the beginning itself.2. He said he can’t serve the food unless we order a main course separately for each of us, but 2 of my friends already had their food so we didn’t want to order a lot and they waste the food. 2 of my friends stood outside in the cold. Later he apologised for this and agreed to serve but my friends didn’t wanted to come in again.3. One thing I noticed is that his behaviour towards the English people are entirely different from how he treated us. So British people you can proceed with no fear.3. We waited for a long time and after 30 mins we asked how long will it take and he replied he cant say an answer to that it can take 30 or even 40 more minutes depends on the rush , but the restaurant wasn’t that busy though.4. Even after 50 minutes there were no sign of our food and we were about to leave as my boarding time was nearing. He asked to wait another 10 mins and when we asked about the delay he said “ this is not a fast food store, we give the order to the chef only after receiving the customer order”, that’s completely fine but I haven’t seen any restaurants taking more than one hour to serve the food.5 Approximately after 1 hour our food arrived , but this was a complete disappointment. The malai chicken had no flavour at all where its written in the menu that it will be served with creamy sauce of cashew and something. But the chicken tasted like the chicken that we directly boil in water, literally had no flavours to taste. The roti was okay. But I was wondering what took the chef 1 hour to make this . We somehow finished the food and rushed , we didn’t have time for an argument as we were running late. Before this our friends have tried a different side dish as well and had kinda similar experience. I would have given that money (12 pounds for the main)to some homeless people rather than having boiled chicken in the name of traditional dish.Positive things1. The bill was served pretty quick and we were able to make thw payment real quick. Thanks for reading

If there is an option of zero stars, I would have chosen it. I have never seen such a ridiculous service of any restaurant to date. I visited the place along with my husband just to have a light meal that was an Indian food pav bhaji. They denied taking an order and asked to order the main course to dine in and we didn't want to waste food by ordering it.They had zero sense of hospitality.I won't recommend this place If you want to have a peaceful meal.

If it was possible I would have given negative infinity stars. Such a ridiculous treatment to customers. I went with my friend to eat and we wanted to do light lunch and they upright rejected to serve and asked us to order more. Wouldn't it lead to more food waste? Highly inconsiderate behavior from the restaurant employee. I would never go there next time and wouldn't recommend anybody to go there ever.

What a great restaurant with great food! The ambience was nice, the service was 5* and the experience is worth spending your time.I'm very particular with Indian food, being an Indian myself and brought up very traditionally, so I know good food, and I know bad food, when i taste it. This lovely place knows its' stuff, and the chef is on-point when it comes to spices and knowing what works well. We ordered 3 different main dishes and 2 different starters, with 3 sides. Everything was excellent. Definitely this 'contemporary' restaurant was the right choice!Sorry, I forgot to take food pics, too busy eating and enjoying my company :) Next time! The staff/manager/owner on duty on Wednesday were exceptionally well, very polite, catered to every need; nothing was too much for either of them. I highly rate this place, and would definitely go again. Thanks to them, this restaurant is now on my top 10. Good stuff guys, well done to you all. Thanks for serving us, see you again!
