"The Tommyfield, named after the nineteenth century market which was home to Britain’s first fish and chip shop, is a wonderful British pub, famed for its steaks and old school pie and mash. Five stunning boutique hotel rooms reside on the upper two floors of the venue. Every Saturday night, The Tommyfield is home to Alway Be Comedy, one of London's best comedy clubs."

Best pies around! Lovely open space with lots of window seats. Great comedy club upstairs with some big names visiting. Bar service can be a tad slow but won’t stop me returning as a go to for good quality food.

Nice pub! We dropped in for drinks - they have local beer and a nice wine selection. Cosy atmosphere.

Love this place, we come here often. Staff are brilliant, a nice selection of food and drinks including vegan options. I always have a great time here. They also do comedy nights, have rooms to stay in and have a great rentable space for events (which I have used and can highly recommend). definitely recommend.

Nice place but food and drink is overpriced. I only went for the comedy night upstairs so wouldn't go back to this pub of there wasn't a gig on. Better pubs just over the road

We went for a work function. On a roast dinner there was just two roast potatoes and one carrot, three Brussels which was a bit stingy. We paid a deposit and notified of changes still spending way above the minimum amount but they insisted on money grabbing the deposit and also the lady dealing with it was quite abrupt with my manager in dealing with it and seemed rude to her. We where also told service charge that is called optional was not optional despite it saying... Optional.Just as a warning on booking with these guys it seems they are out to rip you off.

Would give more than 5 stars if I could. Couldn't find one fault service was amazing from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. As for the food it was hot, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Definitely will be going back.

I work opposite and think this is a great pub but when you’re served a tainted pint (which you take back to the bar) and are then told the pipes were cleaned earlier (confirming my concerns), you don’t need a barman saying they tasted the beer and can’t taste anything wrong. Good customer service is about dealing with mistakes well when they happen, just apologise, serve me a fresh pint and keep the options to yourself please. I don’t appreciate spending £20 and having a soapy taste in my mouth that I still can’t get rid of some hours later…

A great little find. A cosy atmosphere and fantastic simple food done really well. Water put on your table immediately on sitting, without having to ask. 12.5% service charge automatically added to bill, not my personal preference.

·

Classy surroundings. Lots of varied seating. Attentive staff. Decent beer choices and the full English breakfast was tasty, piping hot and well presented.

·

Lovely small pub hotel with a great landlady and more than you would expect from a budget hotel. Fresh fruit and milk in the fridge with porridge and juice for breakfast. Hairdryer and a coffee machine Close to all sights in central London. I would highly recommend the Tommy field pub hotel
