They've made alot of changes including an increase in price. The wait times are usually very long and can't get through to them on the phone....but food is OK I only ever get the peppered steak so can't really comment on anything else. Nice homemade feel. Is it worth all the customers and wait times probably not, not sure why I keep going back to be fair.

Food was burnt. First time I visited True Flavours and I ordered pepper steak, mackerel and rice, brown stew chicken and callaloo. The steak was burnt and you could smell the burntness as soon as I took the lid off the container. I also ordered brown stew chicken, the chicken was hard and the rice peas was the pot bottom which was burnt. So disappointed, the mackerel was as it is was the head chopped up into pierces which as far as I am concerned a waste of money! I heard so many great things about this place it’s a shame I wasted £20 on 4 meals and the food was such poor quality

I ordered large jerk chicken and was given BBQ chicken as there was no (pepper) heat in the food at all. It tasted nice but wasn't proper jerk. The chicken portion was small and expected more, the veg was bland also. I had high hopes but I got average food during the lunch time rush

Love the food. Very authentic. Slow service but great food. They do say good things come to 'he' who waits.

Excellent cooked wholesome Caribbean old school cooking rice cooked to perfection each gain separate and shelly. the dishes just the right amount of seasoning enabling you to taste the true flavor of the dish. I can recommend this take away restaurant.

Some of the best Carribbean cuisine I've ever had. Deffo worth a try. Staff come across abit rude but it's just the way they speak. You will be ok 👍. Just speak clearly and concisely

Heard about this place for a long time.. Especially the pepper steak and I wasn't disappointed when I tried it out. This place is officially the king of yardie shops in south London... Can't wait to go back and sample the rest of the menu.

Beautiful delicious food, very nice portions, cooked & seasoned to perfection. Would certainly recommend & will be going back for more real soon!

11/07/19Right so i personally seen the halal sign right behind the counter on the right . Parking is around the corner and a few spots infront of the shop . This place takes orders on the phone ( if you can get through) and its better then waiting around in the shop (believe me when i say that). Staff are to the point but friendly and you must exercise a bit of patience when ordering because the place is always busy and the staff do try hard to push it out ( cant blame them they get none stop orders , go inside and see ) so yeah just order and wait calmly maybe 5-10 mins and you will get your food . Its a strictly takeaway , no space inside to eat ... but yeah the food is awesome . We ordered peppersteak , curry goat , pasta and rice and peas we loved it and we recommend that . Yes we do recommend this place to eat and we would be coming back . Very tasty food for a good price ( large £8 small £6 ) . Very nice experience. **tip for first timers here because it can be confusing** theres no particularly line/queue so just because your there doesn’t me the guy/girl on ur left/right aren’t infront of you so when you walk in find out whos ordered and who hasn’t (just like anywhere else ) then place your order at any point on the counter and then take a step back to the side and wait till you name is called , what they serve that day is on the black chalk board on ur left of the counter and not the board infront ( learnt the hard way 😆) and you always pay when you receive your food , not before (shop rules , so they dont get confused / ripped off i guess because of the amount of orders coming and going ...enjoy !!!

First time trying the peppered steak with rice & peas and also macaroni, it was delicious. A bit oily near the end but will definitely will be back.At the time I went it was halal but do double check just in case they do change. It’s a takeaway shop with some limited seats.
